Take this particular number, for instance; it was flagged as fraudulent on this very platform a year ago. It’s utterly unacceptable that it’s still operational - our telecom providers ought to take action against these numbers to spare us from the annoying antics of these contemptible individuals. This would effectively put a stop to these despicable characters trading these numbers amongst themselves, aiming to exploit hard-up folks who are doing their utmost to get by. However, the call was riddled with terrible sound quality, as if they were having a right time with a dodgy signal. Playing along, I feigned interest and asked what my current monthly fee is - hoping to catch them out. With a rather shaky grasp of English, she mentioned it was £80 a month, which is utterly incorrect. The call quality continued to deteriorate, and eventually, I couldn't decipher a word she was saying. I told her I couldn't make out anything and requested her to ring me back. I'm still sitting here twiddling my thumbs, waiting for that promised follow-up!

Yesterday, I received a call from this number, and the chap on the other end introduced himself as an employee of CarPhone Warehouse. Got a call on my mobile from 0120770003, a woman claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse. She sounded courteous but you could tell she was in one of those call centres with loads of other people chatting away in the background. I told her I wasn’t interested in upgrading and she just hung up. Weirdly enough, the call also showed up as a missed FaceTime call on my Apple devices, which didn't make much sense considering it was a landline number. I've blocked the number now.
