I usually put ads on Gumtree and it’s a nightmare when I do during the day. Without fail, I get at least three random calls from people I don’t know. Ever since eBay took charge of Gumtree, it feels like they’re just handing out your info left and right. Best thing is to just ignore those calls, honestly.

Got a call from this number on my mobile, but didn’t pick up cos I reckon it was one of those dodgy scam calls. No idea how they even got my number, I’ve never had any links to Consett - wherever that place is. Feels like a proper scam to me.

Some lady rang up claiming she was calling from Mobile City. I told her I wasn’t interest in any new phone deals. She snapped back with, “Just hear me out on our offer, then you can say no.” I just ended the call straight away. Seriously, how on earth do they get my number? I’m ex-directory and do my best to not be on any lists. Never signed up for any calls like this. So frustrating.
