Got a call from someone claiming to be with o2, saying there’s a 40% discount for current users. I asked if o2 hadn’t merged with Virgin already, and then he asked if I was with o2 or Virgin. When I said he should know if he’s really from o2, he didn’t seem to have a clue. I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

This caller was super persistent, with a thick foreign accent. They kept going on about some iPhone upgrade offer. I spoke with them for a bit, mostly just messing around and saying I had zero interest. They rang again shortly after, repeating the same spiel about a deal. Then a woman answered the phone and continued with it. I told them both clearly that I wasn’t interested, didn’t trust their story, and wasn’t giving out any info. Predictably, she rang back immediately, pushing the same rubbish. It’s total rubbish, pretty sure it’s a scam.
