Somebody rang me up pretending to be about stocks and shares, trying to get details for my ISA. I told them to jog on straight away.

This number keeps ringing me, it's from some kind of investment firm. I picked up once because I was waiting on another call, but told them I wouldn't talk about money over the phone. Still, they keep calling all the time which is really irritating since I've got no time to deal with pointless calls like this.

Over the past few months, I’ve received quite a few calls like this, but I usually just let them go to voicemail. Today was different because my husband was waiting for a phone call, so he picked up. The person on the other end claimed he had some investments and shares that were losing value, but they never said who they worked for. They offered to help “reinvest” the money. My husband said he didn’t own any assets at all, and they said they'd take his number off their list and wouldn’t call again. Then the call ended.

I got a call today from someone claiming to be with Gordon and Barrett, saying I requested the call. Funny thing is, just yesterday I had a similar call from a different fake company, so it looks like these lot are just sharing my number around. Someone called asking for my husband by his name, claiming to be from Gordon and Barrett regarding some investments. Thing is, my husband never showed any interest, and after that, they suddenly started asking about my son, which seemed really off.

This number rings me quite often. Most times, as soon as I pick up, there's just silence and then the call drops. If I ever manage to catch someone on the other end, I'll be telling them off in no uncertain terms - something along the lines of “get lost” using some good old-fashioned language.
