One evening, I rang my mum only for her to mention she had received a call requesting her bank information. The caller claimed to be aware of her password and promised to put a stop to those incessant nuisance calls. I’ve since tried to get through to this number multiple times, yet it's perpetually busy. The lady on the line assured my mum she’d return the call. Thankfully, I’ve consistently advised her against sharing any bank details over the phone. It’s absolutely appalling how these heartless scoundrels target the elderly.
