I picked up because the number seemed to be from my area. A woman with a very official tone said my card got charged twice abroad, once for £300 and again for £1000. She told me to press 1 to cancel those charges. But the call definitely wasn’t local, and I reckon loads of folks would worry and just hit 1 straight away. To me, this feels like a risky scam.
