Just like others have mentioned, this loft con artist is actually a bloke named Stuart Wright. He’s from 21a Plymouth Road, Barnt Green, Birmingham. All those phone numbers tie back to him and that address. Makes sense why he’s got a posh place - he’s always ripping people off!

The call kicked off with someone saying they were Chris from the local energy company. I told them straight away our number is unlisted and I’ve already explained before that there’s nothing they can offer - we’ve got double glazing, cavity wall insulation, new loft insulation and solar panels sorted. I mentioned I’d be reporting this to TPS and Ofcom, then of course they just hung up. Bit fed up now since I got pretty much the same call from 01202 143161 around two days ago!

This scam is so dull, it’s hardly worth the trouble. A relative ended up picking up, but I’d already warned them about not taking calls from numbers they don’t recognise. Much safer that way.

Got four calls from this dodgy lot over the past few days. They keep ringin' from numbers all starting with 01202, Bournemouth area, and ranging from something like 143050 up to 143218 or so. Makes it impossible to just block one number. I’ve noticed that the landline numbers ringing me are all pretty similar, something like 01202143194 and then it changes around the last few digits up to 214 or so. They keep calling like all day long. Usually, I just mute my phone and try to block each number, but there’s only so many you can block before your phone gets full. It’s really frustrating!
