Got a random call about insulation outta nowhere, felt a bit dodgy so just watch out, could be a scam.

Some bloke rang up pretending to be from an energy savings firm, saying their info showed we still had “the old kind of loft insulation”. When I asked which property he meant (we’ve just shifted into a new build), the line started crackling and then some robotic voice said, “my manager will get back to you with confirmation”. I ended the call right away. At first it sounded genuine, but the echoes, weird click sounds and pauses gave it away as a pre-recorded message. The guy called Chris spoke with a British accent.
