Got a call from someone claiming to be a local energy advisor, went on like they somehow knew I owned the house - bit spooky if you ask me. I’ve seen this scam floating about before, so I just dumped the call and blocked the number straightaway. Honestly, if you’re behind this, why not find a real job? There’s no shortage of opportunities out there if you ask me!

Answered after a few rings, just said hi and the call dropped straight away. Glad I saw the earlier review, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

This bloke called himself “Sam” and rings me all the time. It’s clear he can’t flag numbers that call back as dodgy or scammy. Sam’s proper sketchy. Try asking him a couple of things: 1) how he’s sure you own the house, and 2) why he doesn’t know the name of the person he’s contacting. He’ll trip up and get all awkward. When I grilled him, he tried to put me through to his manager but ended up treating me like a fresh target and repeated the same sales spiel. Honestly, Sam’s a total muppet. Don’t mess with him.

I received a call from someone who was going on about loft insulation going mouldy. It got a bit odd when they asked me how to spell my name. When I inquired about where they had obtained my details, they abruptly hung up. Quite suspicious, wouldn’t you agree?
