I chose "political" since there wasn’t a more fitting option in the call type list. The bloke calling, Matthew, feels like some psychological pest who’s been targeting me as part of a list for years now - more than seven at least. These calls never get blocked and no matter what the government either can’t or won’t stop them; they seem to be okay with it. It’s straight-up targeted harassment. The guy must be on a paycheck to keep doing this boring job. There's no scam involved - they never ask for any personal info or cash. He just sticks to some script, and if you try to chat beyond that or ask anything, he just cuts off the call. Sometimes the number changes and he even uses different names. I can’t think of any other explanation. If he was just some random weirdo, he wouldn’t have the stamina to keep this going for so long. He’s definitely being paid by someone - my hunch is it’s some government agent or a spook linked to psychological ops. Could be through some uni-funded project or secret service type role, all under the Official Secrets Act. That’s probably why this disgusting practise has lasted so long.

Got a call about insulating the loft again, same sort of calls I've had before. I've blocked the number now, just a few million more to block, lol!

Got a call from an unknown number earlier but nobody picked up and no voicemail left either. Usually these calls are from scammers, so I just blocked it straight away. Honestly, the government really needs to step up and sort out these annoying unsolicited calls once and for all.

Got a call at my job from someone saying they were scheduling a loft installation at this house, which it definitely isn't. They kept using some sort of robotic script until I ignored the question about whether I owned the house. After that, you could hear the line glitch and the person loudly trying to get me to respond.

They started off sounding genuine with a proper introduction, but it was obviously a recording 'cause they kept going even when I asked who it was! Something about cavity wall insulation put in under a government plan (which we've never had, maybe the old owners 14 years back?) Then they mentioned some places might have mould issues and needed inspection - but as I questioned them again, the call just abruptly ended!

Wasn't sure if it was legit, so I played it safe. Some stuff about cavity wall problems or whatever. I told the bloke to mail me the info because I don’t chat on the phone about this kind of thing. He just said alright then and hung up. Definitely a real person, not some automated message.

Got a call around 4.30pm from a bloke named Matthew claiming to be from an energy company about loft insulation and damp issues. He mentioned someone called a surveyor would ring back to set up a time to check the loft. It all felt a bit sketchy, like it might have been a recorded message reacting to what I said. If the surveyor does get in touch, I’ll just tell ’em I’m not interested. The number they used was the one listed here.
