I told him again, if you’re not selling anything, this call is still illegal, and then he just hung up.

He sounded like he was in a busy office when I answered. Asked if it was me by name, and when I told him "I’m on the TPS and don’t want these calls," he said "Sorry ma’am, I’ll take you off the list." Not convinced he actually will tho, so I just put the number on ignore. Our house is for sale already and I've got better things to do than deal with this!

Got a really weird call from this number earlier. Some woman asked if I was "Mrs----?" I told her no, I'm Mr. The last Mrs in our house passed away 23 years ago, so that irritated me right away. She wanted to talk about loft insulation. Even though I’m on the TPS register, I've phoned them loads asking to be taken off their call list. Nothing ever changes though. They keep ringing me from different numbers and it's so annoying! :(

There was quite a bit of background noise like an office or something. A man rang asking for Mrs Hicks (which would be true if I was married to my partner)… I reckon he found our landline from something my partner might’ve checked or purchased online where they entered our home phone. I told him there’s no Mrs Hicks here, and he said sorry before admitting he’d dialled the wrong number.

Got a call about home insulation the other day. When I brought up the TPS register, the woman insisted it wasn’t a sales call, claiming the TPS rules don’t count for calls that aren’t direct selling. I told her they were clearly trying to sell me insulation, but she argued “No, I’m only suggesting you book an appointment with one of our insulation experts.” Feels like a sneaky way cold-callers are dodging the rules by pretending it’s not a sales pitch.
