For months now, this number has been constantly ringing me and today I finally looked it up - turns out it’s from Bournemouth. I can't figure out how they even got my number in the first place. They keep ringing, and whenever I pick up, there's just silence like they're testing if I’ll react. I've blocked it, but the calls still come through. I reckon this is some sort of scam or fraud, so it’s worth reporting to the police.

Today, my hubby got a call from this number about loft insulation. He calmly explained that we weren't interested, but the bloke wouldn’t take no for an answer. When hubby said again he didn’t want it, the caller lost his temper, called him a rude name, and just hung up. Proper cheeky behaviour!

I received a call from this number while I was away from my phone, and they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail. My BT Call Guardian couldn’t identify them, which is a strong indication it’s a telemarketer or some kind of scam. Honestly, my registration with the Telephone Preference Service doesn’t seem to make a lick of difference anymore, as I find myself inundated with two or three similar calls daily. Apparently, this number is tied to some insulation sales pitch, although it’s still showing as unknown to me.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded pretty young, said he was with the environment agency. Creepy part was he already had my name and address! When I asked why he was calling, he just went quiet and ended the call. Bit fishy if you ask me!

An energy efficiency firm has been adamant about conducting a wall survey to identify any chilly areas, presumably to propose fresh cavity wall insulation with some sort of beans. The chap was quite clear that he wasn't trying to sell anything and that there was no pressure to commit to further work if he suggested it. Interestingly, he seemed to know my name and confirmed I was the owner of the property, yet he was quite curious if anyone else had a hand in managing the household affairs!

I told him straight up they’re a bunch of scammers and that he should be ashamed. He called me cheeky, and I ended things by hanging up on him.

I’ve been getting loads of calls from this number and a few others just like it. Honestly, don’t pick up. First off, sometimes the call just drops right after you say something, probably recording your voice. And second, if someone actually does pick up, they’re just trying to sell you some rubbish or it’s a total scam. Best to just ignore them altogether.
