They claimed to be from car phone warehouse, though I’m pretty sure that wasn’t true. I kindly told the bloke it wasn’t a good moment for a chat, but he just cut me off straight away without a word. I guess these callers must deal with some pretty rude responses often, but if someone’s being civil, the least they could do is say thanks. They really ought to train their people not to just drop the call like that - it’s so impolite and just makes telemarketers look even worse!

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse, going on about deals on phones and wanting to know what phone I was using. As soon as I mentioned it was a work phone, he replied that my company had passed on my number to them. Complete nonsense! It’s actually my personal phone, not work-related at all. Definitely a dodgy call, so I ended the call right away.

Got a ring from this number claiming to be from O2, said they’re upgrading everyone from 4G onto 5G. The guy said he’d sent me a message with a security code and wanted me to read it out. If you’re getting annoying calls, just text the number, but add "Call" before it - like 'Call 0116300 0126' - and send that to 7726. Hopefully, it helps stop the spam!

Got a call pretending to be from O2 - it’s definitely a scam. They try to send you a one-time 6 digit code, and if you end up telling them, they then ask for your security question details. Once they get that info, they basically take over your online O2 account and start buying phones using your details. Absolutely don’t share the 6 digit code or your security question answer with anyone!
