Got a call on my mobile from a number showing up as Nottingham. It was a foreign lady with really bad English, struggling to say my name right. There was loads of noise in the background, like people chatting and making calls. Seemed like a dodgy scam to me. I just told her she’d dialled the wrong number, ended the call, and blocked it straight away.

Got a call from 0115 778 9611 just now. The person on the line kept mumbling about vaccines and asked if I’d had mine. When I questioned why he was calling and what for, he just cut the call. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Absolutely a scam, no doubt about it! The person on the phone claims they're from the NHS talking about covid vaccines or something like that. Then, once they’ve got you hooked, they suddenly switch to asking about life insurance. I just said, what’s that got to do with you? and hung up straight away.

this bloke with a pakistani accent called me saying he was from citizens advice and could help sort out my debts. just as he was explaining, my phone went dead becos of bad signal. he rang me again and when i picked up, he just started shouting at me, calling me awful names and swearing like mad. dont get caught out by this obvious con!

every time i block a number, they ring straight back but tweak the last few numbers. they keep claiming to be from citizens advice but the person on the phone always has an asian accent. even if i tell them repeatedly to stop calling, they’re back on the line the very next day. to be honest, i’ve never heard of citizens advice cold calling folks, especially not from a different town. this just screams scam to me.

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming she was with the fraud investigation bureau, I just ended the call straight away. A few hours later, I got another call from a similar number but different last digits, this time an Asian man was on the line. Didn’t bother answering that one either.
