Someone rang me claiming to be Nathanael from Leighton Buzzard, talking about car insurance for my Fiat Panda. He said that a bag of cockroaches had been discovered in my vehicle and that I'd need a pest control crew to sort it out. Apparently, I was also entitled to a whopping £850 in compensation along with a courtesy vehicle, a FIAT PUNTO, which let me tell you my grandmother absolutely despises. Honestly, steer clear of this number - it’s nothing but a scam!

They even sent me a couple of texts; one contained a code similar to what you’d receive when resetting a password. I firmly told them that I wouldn’t be sharing that code and decided to hang up. I thought it best to contact O2’s customer service directly to verify, as you’re always warned against giving out such codes. Plus, legitimate O2 employees would never request it. He claimed to be calling from O2 Networks, but I quickly figured out he was situated in India. His accent was distinctly Indian, not resembling the kind you’d expect from someone in the UK. He mentioned he was from Croydon, which didn’t quite add up. To top it all off, he was trying to sell me a shiny new Samsung S2 for a mere fraction of what my current Samsung S10 costs. As if!
