Been getting calls from this number like 5 times daily the past three days. They say they're calling from the Telephone Preference Service. I picked up once and just hung up. Total scam! They want your bank info, don’t fall for it - they’ll charge you for some membership renewal. Our local phone provider is trying to block it now. Same days, loads of calls from "international" and "withheld" numbers too, which I never pick up. If you let the call go to voicemail, they always hang up as soon as the machine kicks in.

My elderly mum, who's 90, got bombarded with phone calls six times in just one hour from these scammers wanting her debit card info. When she wouldn't give it, they started whining about how they'd lose their job if she didn't comply. I'm glad she stuck to her guns, but it did upset her quite a bit. These scumbags should be tracked down and put an end to, for sure.

Got calls from these scammers loads of times, claiming to be from the TPS. They quickly jumped into asking for my bank card details. I played along and gave them a fake expiry date just to see what they'd do next. Needless to say, I’ve blocked their number now.

I had quite an annoying phone call from someone who claimed to be representing a call blocking service. Initially, there was a chap with a heavy accent who seemed keen to extract information from me. When he didn’t get very far, he handed the phone to another bloke, also with an accent, who claimed to be his supervisor. One bizarre question they threw my way was regarding whether my sort code consisted of six digits separated by hyphens. I answered "yes", but to be fair, that applies to all sort codes, doesn’t it? When he asked me for the actual number, I replied that if he had my details, he'd already know my sort code. At that point, he abruptly ended the call. Quite the dodgy operation, if you ask me!

Same sort of thing happened to me - a woman with what sounded like an Indian accent called saying she was from TPS, wanted to "upgrade" my service but then asked for my bank card info. I told her this was supposed to be free, and she got really pushy straight away. I quickly pressed the Call Blocker and now I’ll be reporting it to the ICO as well.

Got a call that seemed like one of those typical tech support scams about my computer. I ignored it and let it ring out. Right after, the caller rang me back, sounding quite pushy, wanting to know why I didn’t pick up. I told him quite plainly to leave me alone. After that, the same number kept calling, at least four times, but no one spoke on the line.

So yesterday I got a call from a woman with a strong foreign accent who said she was from the TPS. She wanted to check if I’d been getting any nuisance calls. I told her to stop calling and ended the call. Then today, at 10.04am, the same lady rang me again but this time the call showed as "International Out of Area" with no number displayed. It was definitely her, same voice and the usual nonsense spiel. I’ve reported it to the TPS because they’re having their name misused. These relentless scammers really should be caught and punished.

I keep receiving calls two or three times daily, and when I pick up, the caller claims to be from TPS. They somehow have the expiry date of my debit card from 2018, which is rather concerning. It seems they can’t stray from their rehearsed lines, as they get quite flummoxed when I ask them anything. Even if I choose to hang up, they have the audacity to ring me again! It's becoming increasingly irritating!

They inquired whether we wished to put a stop to troublesome calls, then incorrectly recited the last four digits of my card and proceeded to request my card information.

I've had a staggering ten calls from them today alone! Last week, I endured around fifty calls from their other digits ending with 90623, 90625, and 90627. It baffles me that these pests don’t seem to grasp that many of us have caller ID. As a result, I refuse to pick up for them. It's incredibly frustrating that they persistently bombard me daily. Do they not understand the message?!

Received a couple of calls today where the caller was relentless, insisting on my wife's postcode and other personal information. I made it clear that such inquiries were none of their concern and promptly hung up. They didn't bother to ring back after that.

I keep getting harassed by this number multiple times throughout the day, occasionally with a different last digit. I finally caved and picked up today after ignoring it for ages. An individual with an Indian accent informed me they were calling from TPS and claimed to be there to curb nuisance calls. I couldn’t resist telling them that was splendid, and that they ought to start by blocking their own number!

I've had the misfortune of dealing with them seven times today. Each time I tried to voice my grievances, I was met with the excuse that it was my own doing for not engaging. When I explained that my reluctance to chat was why I wasn't responding, they simply cut the line!

I've noticed this number popping up on my caller ID repeatedly over the past few days. I’ve held off answering until today, figuring I ought to discover what they wanted, though I had my suspicions it was something dodgy despite the English number flashing on my screen. As it turns out, they were on about the TPS! They already had some of my information and even knew I settled my BT bill via direct debit. But when they asked for my debit card details for verification, that raised alarm bells, as my direct debit has no relation to my debit card at all. So, I promptly hung up, but lo and behold, they rang me back within ten minutes! Now I’m just waiting for their next call to come through.

I’ve had a right nuisance with these calls today, having received two already! It’s been an ongoing saga for the last couple of years now, constantly being pestered with details linked to someone who’s long gone. Why on earth can’t they just remove them permanently from their system? I’ve unleashed a few well-chosen expletives at them; it seems to do the trick temporarily, but lo and behold, they’re back at it in no time! Honestly, you’d think they’d have more sense!

For days on end, we've been inundated with relentless calls from these pesky telemarketers, sometimes several times a day. It's about time the authorities introduced some legislation to hold such callers accountable, don’t you think? It’s reached the point where we’ve stopped picking up the home phone altogether. This situation is utterly infuriating, particularly since we're shelling out for the line rental while we refuse to answer due to the overwhelming likelihood of it being yet another unwanted caller. What are our options for putting an end to this nuisance? I’ve made attempts to block a variety of numbers, yet somehow they still manage to slip through. What a right kerfuffle!

Received a dodgy call today. They claimed my computer was firing off error alerts. I found it amusing since I actually don’t own a computer anymore! I suggested they ought to figure out why their system is generating these misleading notifications instead. Gave them a cheeky thanks and wished them all the best in solving their little mystery!

I just picked up and said my name, and the bloke immediately said he was from the 'Telephone Preference Service'. Had a similar annoying call last week from a number in Mansfield, claiming the exact same thing. This time, it was from what looked like a Sheffield number. Saw it was a Sheffield code so picked up the landline. A woman with a foreign accent said she was from the TPS. When she asked if I got nuisance calls, I shot back “yeah - from you lot! Get off my line now.” Then I hung up straight away. From what I’ve read here, this scam seems to be quite common today.
