This one bloke, calling himself Steven with an Asian accent, kept talking over me. I told him quite clearly not to ring again, but his pals keep phoning anyway. I’m signed up with TPS, but it hardly seems to stop them. There really should be tougher rules to shield people who are more at risk from this kind of hassle.

I've gotten calls every day for weeks now from people claiming to be from TPS, trying to get me to renew some account to block unwanted calls. I told them their call was just as annoying. The people on the phone were quite rude, some with foreign accents, and they wouldn’t listen at all. Even after I said I’m not the customer they kept going through their script. Eventually I just hung up.

Got a call today around 12:10 pm from someone saying they were from the Telephone Preference Service, offering to add international calls to my list. I've had this before and wasn't fooled. When I pointed out they haven't even blocked local or national calls yet, 'Jerome' got annoyed and shouted "We'll take you off the list and you'll be blasted with 300 calls a day!" before hanging up. Got a call today (22/1/18) from a bloke with an Asian accent on a really bad line, saying he was from Telephone Preference Management and asked if I was getting annoyed by unwanted calls. I told him yes, his call was unwanted. When I asked for the full company name and their phone number to check them out, he said he wasn’t allowed to give me that info. Tried to get more details about what they were doing (seemed like a total scam) but had to end the call since his English was pretty rubbish. The same number rang me back 3 times today but I just ignored it.

Got 2 calls on my mum’s phone today, first one was dead quiet and on the second I picked up and some bloke called ‘Alan’ was on the line from Telephone Preference Management. Honestly, do they really expect us to buy those names when their accents are clearly Indian?! He seemed to know the last name (even if he butchered saying it), so they must have some info, but I told him he’d got the wrong person, said cheers and ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming to be the Telephone Preference Service, an Indian guy saying they want to stop the international calls my mum's been getting lately. How are they aware of that?! They even confirmed our address and said we paid by DD. Then they asked about a Visa card that expired in Feb 2018. I just hung up and blocked the number. Telephone preference service? I just wasted like 10 minutes of this bloke's time. To be honest, he ended up getting pretty annoyed with me. All he wanted was for me to give him my sort code and account number. I kept telling him no way he was getting that. Then he asked if I knew what biometrics were, and I fired back asking if he knew what rubbish was?! He still pushed for my info but then, guess what, he just hung up on me lol.

Got a call from some bloke called 'Steven' with a strong foreign accent saying he was from the TPS. He wouldn't let me say a word, kept interrupting and said he wanted to verify my info (I ended up just hanging up). The number shows as International on my phone. This is the sixth time I’ve had a call from this same number today. I told 'Steven' to stop calling and hung up last time, but just missed another call from them a bit ago. Some bloke called saying he was from Telephone Preference Management (not the usual TPS lot!). He already had my name and address and wanted me to verify the expiry date on a card to prove I was their client. Of course, I didn’t give him any info but I did keep him chatting for a good 20 minutes.
