My phone has this feature that blocks any call from numbers it doesn't know unless the person on the other end says who they are. It also keeps a record of all the calls that didn’t get through. In the past couple of weeks, I’ve had 134 missed calls from this number and others that begin with 011431906##. Some calls even came through at 6am! Without my phone stopping these, I’d be on the hunt for these scammers and giving them a proper telling off.

I picked up when this number called, and the guy said he was from TPS asking if I’m getting nuisance calls. I told him yes, from them actually. He sounded quite annoyed. I ended up blocking the number. After that, I got six more calls every half hour or so, with the last one at 6.40pm. Even though the calls were blocked, they still appeared on my call log. Honestly, these people are more than a pain - they’re risky, trying to get money for something that’s supposed to be free.

Got a call from 01143190622 today 16/01/18. The person said they were from Telephone Management Service about some call blocking thing. They told me I was on their list, which I definitely am not, and said I had to renew it. When she began asking for my debit card details, I told her I wasn’t interested and ended the call.

I missed a call today from 01143190622, but after reading through the comments here, it looks like this is just another one of those annoying scam calls. They often come from people with Asian accents who give fake names like “Alex” or “Kevin” and claim to be from the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). I got a similar call a while back, on 09/01/2018, from 01143190621 (just one digit off), and another one on 08/01/2018 from 01623270165. It’s so frustrating having to keep blocking loads of different numbers, but I guess there’s no choice!

Someone called saying they were from the BT call preference team, asked if I was still getting annoying calls - they already had loads of my details, like my address and so on - said they were trying to improve their service. Then they asked for my card details, but when I said I didn’t have them nearby, the person said they’d wait. When I confirmed I didn’t have them, they just hung up on me.

I’ve received a trio of phone calls from individuals purporting to be representatives of Telephone Preference Management, insisting that my TPS registration has run out today. Just to clarify, TPS registrations don't actually expire unless you choose to cancel them yourself. The first call was rather garbled, coming from a chap with a thick accent from the Indian subcontinent, making it a bit tricky to catch what he was saying. He rang me again and suggested that I think it over and get back to him. The number he provided for a callback was 02035307477. Then, the third call was from a woman with a similar accent, but she hung up promptly as soon as I queried her identity and the purpose of her call.

Got caller ID and was getting loads of calls from these numbers, so I left a message on my voicemail saying, ‘Have your bank card ready - someone will be taking your info soon.
