Got a call from 0114 3190621, some bloke with an Asian accent trying to get me to go online so he could "fix" my computer security. I humoured him for a while since I wasn’t busy. After a bit, I said I didn’t even own a computer. He then asked why I claimed I had one in the first place. I told him since he was messing about with my time, I’d do the same to his, and then ended the call.

Yesterday at about 1.10 pm I got a call, then today at 7.01 in the morning there was a call but no one spoke. I managed to irritate the Indian bloke from the first call so much that he just hung up on me, which I found quite satisfying. He was trying to assist me with some sort of computer issue.

So, I got a call just yesterday from someone with an Indian accent claiming they could stop my annoying cold calls. They started asking for my bank info, not the account number, and somehow knew my card had expired back in 2019. I refused to share anything. The caller got pretty pushy, so I ended the call. Then they rang me back twice more, each time I hung up after a minute of us both raising our voices. After that, they didn’t call again. Be careful with these sorts of calls!

This number has been bugging me non stop for nearly a week now, always ringing between 6 and 7 in the morning, which is just ridiculous! I’ve been getting calls from this company quite a bit lately, and whenever I pick up, the line just goes silent. Today was different though - a woman with a foreign accent said she was calling from some phone preference service based in London. She assured me that after this call, I wouldn’t have to deal with any more annoying calls from them. It freaked me out a bit because she already had my surname, postcode, house number, and street. Then she asked me to confirm my first name, but I told her there’s no way I’m giving that if she doesn’t already know it. Before she could respond, I said if her company actually stopped calling, that would be one less nuisance to worry about. She hung up straight away after that!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from the telephone preference service. It’s a scam that’s been going on for years. I read an article about it in the Daily Telegraph, written by Kate Palmer back in September 2015 - called 'On the Suckers’ List?'. Loads of older folks have fallen for it, sadly.

Got a ring from some bloke called John, said he's from Windows Support or summat and was talkin' about my laptop. I wasn't born yesterday, told him I knew it was a dodgy scam and just hung up. This morning I got a ring from this number but didn’t answer. I managed to find the number thanks to 1471. Looking at other people’s posts, it seems like these callers pretend to be from the TPS. Last night, I also received calls from another number, 01623 270165, claiming the same TPS connection. They seemed to know my name and address, and even mentioned my card supposedly expired in 2017. When they asked for the new expiry date, I refused and hung up. Around 15 minutes later, this number called again, but I ignored it. I’ve since reported everything to Action Fraud.
