I received a rather suspicious call from someone who said they were inquiring about my Covid 19 jab status. They wanted to know if I had completed all my vaccinations and proceeded to bombard me with other queries along those lines. It felt decidedly off; I suspect it was a scammer trying to fish for personal health details. The chap had a rather questionable Indian accent, to boot. He also threw in inquiries about my life insurance, which added to my suspicion.

Somebody rang me, purporting to be from the National Health Service, asking about my vaccination status regarding Covid. I pointed out that if he was genuinely from the NHS, he ought to have access to my medical records and be aware of whether I’ve been fully vaccinated. I then asked him the reason for his call. To my surprise, he just hung up!

A chap claimed to be with the NHS, inquiring whether I was up to date with my vaccinations and if I had logged my vaccine status on the NHS app. Quite surprisingly, I pointed out that such a feature isn't available here in Wales, which he should have known. After that, he shifted the conversation to life insurance-very peculiar, if you ask me. There were quite a few questions that seemed rather random, yet thankfully he didn’t press me for any personal information. Perhaps he figured out quite quickly that I was not inclined to share anything!

I received a rather curious call today. The person on the other end asserted they were representing the NHS and inquired about my COVID vaccination status. Quite out of the blue, they then probed into whether I had life insurance. When I asked for clarification on his organisation, he persistently insisted it was indeed the NHS and claimed he wasn’t trying to sell anything. At that point, I decided it was best to terminate the conversation.
