Nearly every call I get with an Indian accent seems fishy these days. I've heard so many stories about scams coming from that area, I just don’t trust them anymore. They often pretend to be NHS COVID follow-ups, but honestly, it’s all a load of rubbish and really dodgy. If you get a random call with that accent, best to hang up and block the number right away. If it's something legit, they’ll send a letter through the post, no need to answer these calls.

But then they wanted to know who my insurance provider was. When I refused to share that, the call just cut off. Seems like it was a scam trying to get my private details.

They rang me twice. The first call was from a lady claiming to be from the NHS doing a survey about the Covid-19 jab, and I was alright with that. But then she suddenly switched to talking insurance and wanted to check my info, so I told her straight that it sounded like a scam and ended the call. It’s definitely a scam. They start off saying they're calling from the government or some health department asking Covid-related questions, then suddenly they switch to talking about life insurance. Just seems like they’re trying to collect info to sell or market to you later. Watch out!

Got a call from someone asking for me using an old name I haven’t went by in ages, like over 6 years. I told them their details were totally wrong and to stop ringing me. Then, barely a minute later, the same bloke rings back from 0116 500 7151. I told him straight up, “You’ve already been told not to call!” He then started banging on about some debt. I told him he was actually breaking the law by calling and just put the phone down.

I got a call from a bloke claiming to be "Gary" from Public Health England, sounded like he was of Asian descent. He kept quizzing me about whether I’d had all my jabs and what I made of the vaccine rollout. Then he went on about some government scheme giving discounts on health and life insurance for folks who have policies, are vaccinated, and then catch Covid. I wasn’t having any of it and told him no way before hanging up. Seriously, don’t ever share details about your insurance or bank stuff with strangers ringing you out of the blue.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from the NHS about the covid vaccine. They already had my name, postcode, and address which was a bit worrying. They asked if I’d experienced any issues with the jab, then suddenly started talking about insurance stuff. I just ended the call there.

This bloke called saying he was Raheem from some Covid support team. He asked if I was the person by a name I used ages ago, like 7 years back. I told him that wasn’t me. Then he wanted to know my real name, but I just told him nah, I’m not giving it. Next thing he says my voice is nice and he wants to google me or something! I was like seriously, what the heck? Told him to delete my number, I’m gonna report you! He then says he loves me. I was proper freaked out and told him to get lost, then hung up and blocked straight away. What a weirdo!

I wasn’t having it and ended the call straight away. They tried calling back, but I just blocked the number.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming they’d been told by a company called "Lowell" that I owed money. I quickly spotted it was a con and started asking questions, which seemed to annoy them because they just told me to get lost in a rude way. They never gave any real details about the debt or who it was with, just tried to scare me using pressure tactics. Seriously, don’t hand over any info to these lot!
