This number is a total scam, pretending to be about Covid-19. Just ignore and don’t pick up.

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was with the Covid helpdesk. He asked if I’d had both vaccine doses. When I questioned why he needed that info, he said it was for some official survey by the government! I didn’t buy it and just ended the call straight away.

They didn’t say their name and totally butchered my last name. Claimed they were "checking on Covid status" and asked when I had my jab. I didn’t reply, instead I asked who they were and what the call was about. Then they got really rude and just ended the call.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from Amazon Prime, saying my subscription needed renewing. I knew for sure I didn’t have one with them, so I called them out as scammers straight away. Ended the call quickly and made sure to report it to Amazon Prime.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the ‘Corona Virus Health Desk’, but the accent was so thick and hard to catch. They started asking if I’d had my vaccine and done any recent Covid tests. Since I do some volunteering for the Office of National Statistics, I figured it had to be connected. Then out of nowhere, they began asking about my life insurance. I asked what that had to do with anything, and they totally dodged the question. I ended up cutting the call short.

I got a call from a number that looked like it was from Leeds, and the person said they were with the Covid Helpdesk but never said anything about the NHS. Then they said they worked for the UK Government and gave me some weird ID code that I didn’t recognise. They asked about my vaccine status. I told them I used to work for NHS Test & Trace and told them to take my number off their list and stop bothering people. Told them to leave me alone.
