Got a call from someone claiming to do energy surveys on windows, said they were working nearby. They asked if I owned the house. I told them our windows are pretty new and in good shape. Ended the call right there.

BEWARE OF SCAMMERS! Always block suspicious numbers and send any scam texts to 7726 (just a reminder, that’s NOT a police number). It’s also a good idea to contact your MP with a couple of questions: why can’t we report scam calls directly through the police’s Action Fraud system anymore? And why hasn’t the phone industry started using Caller ID Authentication tech to help cut down these fraud calls? Plus, if you get scam emails or screenshots of scam texts, make sure to forward them to the police at ‘[email protected]’ so they can look into it. Stay safe!

Had one of those annoying cold calls today, took ages before anyone answered after I said hello. Then, suddenly, there was this loud "beep" sound as if some recorded message was kicking off. They were trying to peddle solar panels, but honestly, it felt a bit dodgy to me.

Had a woman ring me just before lunch, said she was from something called ENERGY HUB - never come across that company before. She started going on about my loft insulation needing an inspection because it’s apparently getting old. Bit weird though, how on earth did she find out I even had insulation up there, let alone its age? Whenever I tried to quiz her more, she dodged my questions.
