Got a call on my phone claiming to be from Barclays Fraud Team. They tried to get my debit card info but I said no. Then they asked for my account number too, still no from me. I still bank with Barclays locally but only contact them when I have questions. Barclays told me they would never ask for that kind of info over the phone.

I received a rather concerning call earlier today, inquiring about our son, who was busy at work at the time. It was an automated message claiming to be from the fraud department of Barclays Bank. My wife, being cautious as ever, decided to do a bit of digging herself. She reached out to Barclays directly and provided them with the number in question. They confirmed it was indeed a fraudulent call. Quite alarming, to say the least!

I’ve received calls from a company called Easy Psychic, and I must say, it’s best to steer clear of them! It’s nothing but a money-grabbing scheme. They seem to hound you endlessly and all they’re after is cash for their so-called psychic readings. Honestly, just don’t engage with them - it’s all rather dodgy and untrustworthy!

I received a call from this number, and it turns out to be Barclays’ Fraud Protection service. It's one of those automated processes designed to validate certain transactions. Fortunately, they don’t request any sensitive details about your account; instead, they simply prompt you to verify your date of birth from a list and confirm whether those transactions were genuinely conducted by you. Quite reassuring, really!

I got a call from this number, turns out it’s really Barclays checking a card transaction. I tried paying 50 quid online with my Barclays card and it didn't go through, so Barclays put a hold on it to confirm it was me. They rang me up asking if I was the one who tried to spend 50 pounds, and I confirmed I was. Some banks will block a payment until they get a thumbs up, while others let it go through but still call you after to double check.
