Cheers for the info above - so it’s HMRC then. I tried to get a code from them about four hours ago but never got a call back even though I was right at my computer. Typical poor ‘service’ from HMRC, honestly. And seeing as a Greek number is hardly ever genuine, I’m calling these calls nothing but harassment.

Yep, that number belongs to HMRC - they call from there when they send you a code to access their online services.

did they say something about the hmre confirmation code? just got a call and they mentioned it but didn’t really explain. anyone knows what that means?

I think this could be HMRC. I remember once logging into my HMRC online account, and they actually rang me back afterwards to provide a reference number for security reasons when accessing personal accounts.

I got a call from what was meant to be an official HMRC computer number, but it was odd because the number was from Greece. Luckily, my phone picked up on it and blocked the call!
