I found this number while checking my BMO online banking because I got an alert about a dodgy transaction. It’s actually for their credit card fraud team. I called them, and after sorting out the issue, everything's fine now.

I received a letter in the post saying I had a prize waiting for me and to ring this number to claim it. I didn't bother calling, just chucked it straight in the bin. Seems to me, if it was legit, they would've just sent the prize through the post like the letter itself.

I phoned this number and they actually verified some fraud on my account. They sent me a replacement card in less than a week and didn’t even bother asking for my address. Definitely a genuine contact.

Beware, it's a scam! Got a call supposedly from BMO saying there was a problem with my credit card. I checked my online banking and everything looked normal. No emails in my spam or inbox, and no dodgy charges on my account. Definitely a dodgy call.

So, on March 1st, 2020, I got a phone call and the night before that, I was sent an email both telling me to ring this exact number. To be safe, I dialled the number printed on the back of my BMO card and they confirmed it was actually them calling. It was about a $13 charge from Humble Bundle or something, but yeah, the call was definitely genuine.

I can confirm this number is real and belongs to BMO. When I rang, it matched the official BMO website I’m familiar with. I’m really glad they have a fraud team because they stopped attempts to use my MasterCard in places like California and Berlin while I was actually in Canada using the card that very day. They checked everything with me, like where I’d shopped last. They cancelled my card straight away and they're sending me a replacement now.

So, I got a phone call supposedly from BMO’s fraud team, but the number they called from turned out to be a total scam! The bank wouldn’t reach out in a way like that, so it’s clearly fake. Plus, the call came from a private number, which they definitely don’t use. I’ve checked it all out and can confirm it’s fishy. I’ve already sent the voicemail to the police for them to look into it.
