We got a ring from someone named "Ryan Smith" or maybe "Smit" - not totally sure because he had quite a strong accent. He left a voicemail saying we had to call 1-855-499-2266 about an audit on our 2015 tax returns and that it was urgent. We didn’t bother ringing back, and I told my hubby if they call again just to ignore them - the Canada Revenue Service doesn’t call, they always send letters. I don’t understand how these con artists are allowed to carry on like this. It’s really worrying, especially as elder people or those anxious about taxes could easily fall for it.

Got a couple of calls today from some automated bloke saying he’s Ryan Smith from the Canadian tax office. Tried ringing back but no luck, just wasting my time really. Also, didn’t quite match up hearing a ‘Ryan Smith’ with that kind of accent - seemed a bit off to me.

Some bloke with an East Indian accent rang me from this number, saying there was tax fraud on my documents. He said I mustn’t ignore the call and that if I didn’t phone back, I should hand the number over to my solicitor. He said he was calling from Ryan Smith’s office or something. Absolute scam! Just go find a proper job!

Twice today I got calls from someone named Ryan Smith. Like others have said, he wanted me to ring him back or get my solicitor to call. I just ignored it. The message didn’t even mention who he was after - no name, no ID, nothing. Pretty obvious it’s a scam if you ask me!

So this guy rang me on Friday around half past four, and I decided to phone him back. He gave me some sort of employee ID and a case number. When I started questioning him, he got really irritated and kept trying to shut me up by saying stuff like "Never mind" and threatening that the RCMP would come arrest me for issues with the Canada Revenue Agency. When I asked for any proof, he suddenly said he’d double-check with the police about my details. It’s totally a scam and really frustrating. If he calls again, I’m definitely reporting it to the police. Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to get through to the Canada Revenue Agency, but the line’s always busy.

Some bloke rang me up with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from revenue Quebec, saying there was a mistake with my tax return. For starters, the government never calls about these things - they always send letters. Plus, they don’t operate on weekends! These lot are just con artists trying to scam people. Honestly, they should get proper jobs instead of bothering folks. They’ve called my home three times now, which is really upsetting my peace. I’m definitely reporting them to the authorities. Just a heads up to my fellow pensioners - watch out for these dodgy calls!

I've been getting calls from this Canadian Revenue Agency or whatever, like 2 or 3 times last week. Honestly, it's super annoying to have to answer those repeatedly.

Our answering machine picked up a call like this too while we were out. Lucky for us, no one was there to answer. I rang the police, the RCMP, and they just said to brush it off. Honestly, that feels like such a weak response against these crooks. They’re basically breaking in on our privacy and messing with our daily lives. Oh, and I have to say - a supposed Ryan Smith (?) sounded like he had a thick East Indian accent, which seemed a bit odd to me.

Got a call just like this from someone claiming to be from Revenue Canada. Told me to get a lawyer and not to ignore the message. Said his name was Officer Ryan Smith, which seemed odd because he spoke with a really thick Pakistani accent. Something about it just didn't sit right with me at all.

Got a ring from this number and they were acting like they were from the Canada Revenue Agency. They started talking about tax fraud problems and told me to get a lawyer. They said I shouldn't ignore the call and to make sure I call them back.

I got the exact same call today. Decided to ring them back and mess about a bit. When I asked why I was quizzing him, he seemed confused. I told him I just wanted to figure out who he was. Then I asked what details he’d got on me and he said just my number, the state, and town. I asked what country I was in and he said Canada. I laughed and explained that if he worked for Revenue Canada, he'd know we don’t have states here, but provinces. Then I mentioned I was recording the call. Suddenly, he just hung up. I called back a few times just for a laugh and each time, they ended the call soon after. I even asked how it felt to be on the receiving end of the harrassment and yep, they dropped the call again. Now when I try ringing, it goes straight to voicemail.

I got a voicemail from someone claiming to be from Canada revenue agency about taxes. I didn't pick up but the message was left on my answerphone. For over 5 years now, I've been getting all sorts of calls and it turns out they’re always my neighbours using different numbers on my phone. They do it just to scare me, they don’t have jobs, only plant marijuana on their land. They’ve lived in St-Jude, Quebec for like sixteen years and kept this up the whole time. Their names are Stephane Chabot and Sonya Bélanger.

So yeah, got one of those again claiming to be from HMRC. I don’t hang about, I cut them off quick coz it just winds me up. Every time they ring, I give ’em a bit of a telling off, say they oughta be embarrassed. They get pretty rude after a bit, but that’s when I start ringing them nonstop till they give up and switch to their voicemail. It’s a bit of a laugh really!
