I tried calling back this number after it kept ringing, but after about eight rings it just abruptly stopped ringing. Very strange!

This number has rung me twice just today, and honestly, I get a call from them pretty much every single day. When I returned the call to find out who they wanted, they actually gave me my old name. Thing is, I've been married for 8 years, and my name’s been officially changed with the CRA, so no mail ever comes to my maiden name anymore. I told them they’ve got the wrong place, but then they threatened to send a debt collector round! What a joke. I’m honestly waiting to see if they actually show up. I finished my taxes months ago and already got my refund, so seriously, give it a rest!

Got a robo call today claiming to be from CRA threatening to freeze my bank account and put a lien on my address (not even on a property!). This was the third time in a month. The other two calls came from 6139279695. When I asked for details by mail, the guy on the line couldn't even tell my address! Total scam. I gave him a good telling off before he hung up. I tried ringing back to give him what for, but he ended up hanging up again and then just stopped picking up altogether. What a joke!

Typical scam out of India. They have no clue what names they're using. If you get angry and call them out, they'll just drop the call. But don’t be surprised when they ring back a few months later trying the same trick.

This number has called me a few times already today, like 3 or 4. Any ideas on how to block it?

Today my hubby got called twice from this number. The first time he answered, some bloke claiming to be from the CRA spoke but gave no details. Then, after about three hours, they rang back and left a pretty scary voicemail. We had already contacted the real CRA by then and found out it was a total scam. It’s really frustrating how these people just keep pulling this stuff and nothing seems to happen to stop them.

The phone rang for the first time at 11:03, and when I picked up, some bloke said I was under investigation by the CRS. I ended the call straight away. Later, around 4:20, the same number rang back, but I didn’t pick up. They left a message full of threats, which was quite frightening for an elderly lady like me! My family told me it’s just a scam, but honestly, why would anyone want to do such awful things?

Someone rang me from that number saying they were with the IRS, but it seems pointless to me since I'm based in Canada.
