Got a caller display so I just ignore it but it’s proper annoying having to check or listen to messages then delete them. No way they can know I need a new boiler, I just replaced mine!! TPS doesn't help either, been signed up with them ages and so far they barely do anything. I hear about them fining someone maybe once in a couple of years if that!

Got a call today from someone claiming ‘the national data base says’ I had to do this assessment. I pressed 2 like they told me, then some woman with a really sharp Scottish accent told me to ‘stop messing me about’ when I asked her name, then just hung up. Since I work from home, it really disrupts my day. Like many other people here, it seems like no serious steps are being taken to stop this company and their dodgy cold calling tactics. just like the other messages, really winds me up. I’m on Virgin and get free 1471 calls, so I ring 1471 and leave the phone on for 10 mins. Virgin has got to know who these people are and what they’re up to but still lets them keep pestering their customers for what must be pennies. If Virgin’s network got bogged down coz everyone did the same 1471 trick, it might slow things down enough to force them to block these annoying companies. bit extreme, but nothing else seems to do the trick.

I also told them that this number has apparently been looked up more than 20,000 times on this site. Invest in a call blocker-it's a lifesaver! My phone hardly ever alerts me when they try to ring. Whenever I glance at my call history, there they are, lurking in the background! If they manage to get through using a different number, I simply add them to my block list. It’s become quite the routine, really.

Received a call from this number on 7th June, the first occurrence being just an automated message. I promptly added it to my call blocker. It's quite astonishing, as they've tried to reach me 48 times since then, with some days having up to three attempts! I'm incredibly grateful for my call blocker - it's an essential tool for everyone nowadays, especially since there seems to be little action taken by the authorities regarding such nuisances. I've also notified Ofcom about it, but I'm not holding my breath for any results!

This number has been calling a lot more often lately - used to get one call a week, now sometimes twice within an hour. If I’m around, I’ll sometimes pick up and press 9, but that just seems to make them call even more. The last time I pressed 2, a really rude woman answered before I could even say anything, asking “so, you’re the homeowner then?” When I asked why they kept ringing this number, she said “oh, you want the message back, huh?” and then just hung up. Got a call from the national boiler registry again. Seems like the ICO hasn’t got loads of complaints about this yet, so maybe help them out by filling in the form on ico.org.uk. The number ringing me, and some others I got before, are linked to etctelecom ltd. You could try reaching out to them through their website’s contact page at etctelecom[###]. Give them around a week to sort the calls out, and let them know you’ll bill them for each annoying call you get after. Then just start sending them invoices!

You should report those types of calls straight to the ICO. The TPS only covers live phone calls, so for any pre-recorded messages, it's the ICO that handles complaints.
