I’m using BT’s Call guardian on my phone and it blocks all the annoying calls without fail. You can make it so that only numbers saved in your contacts ring straight through, and everyone else has to say who they are first. Got a recorded message from some boiler company ringing me every single day. No clue where they got my number from. I’ve been on the TPS for ages but it looks like it does nothing. I receive calls from this number around three times every week, typically around midday. They use an automated system and say they’re part of a government initiative concerning boiler replacements. Quite amusing, considering we’re an all-electric household and don’t even own a boiler!

Got a robo call going on about boiler maintenance. I ended the call straight away, but then some bloke with an Asian accent rang me about the same thing. Total pain, these lot. Told him to jog on and blocked both numbers. What a waste of time.

I must say, the advice given by 'Anonymous' in the prior comment about inviting these people over to your abode for some documentation proof is utterly preposterous! I can't wrap my head around it. Seriously, steer clear of doing something so reckless! Also, I find the statement on this site claiming, 'we hope the comments from users are helpful' to be rather amusing. It would certainly be prudent to scrutinise these responses; otherwise, you’re just contributing to the chaos!

The caller was evasive and wouldn't share his identity or the company he represents - clearly aware they're bending the rules and having a jolly good laugh about it.💡 Pro tip: If you receive such a call, arrange for an acquaintance to come by. Pretend you're on the verge of signing something to get your hands on any official correspondence they have. But whatever you do, do not divulge any bank or card information. Once you have something with a proper letterhead or company details, courteously inform them that you’re not in a position to sign just yet and request that they leave while you deliberate. Honestly, this is the 7th time just today they've called!!! They've even tried another number, 08443373970. But thanks to your comments warning us, I've never picked up. So cheers to everyone here and this site for keeping us informed. I've got ex-directory too, so how the heck are these p###### blagging our numbers? Anyway, big thanks again and let's just stick to ignoring the lot of them for now, seems like the only option we've got.

Just like the rest, got a recorded call about boilers again. Been getting loads of these, all from 0844 premium numbers. This one was from 08443373977. I’m on the TPS list too. Complete waste of time! Seriously, they need to do something about these scammers and how they keep invading people's privacy.

I reached out to them requesting my details be deleted from their records after enduring a barrage of unwanted calls. Each time, I dutifully pressed 9 to opt-out. In no uncertain terms, I expressed my frustration, particularly as I’m navigating a challenging period with my family and eagerly awaiting some far more pressing communications, rather than intrusive sales pitches. The response I received was outrageously flippant; “Oh right, yeah, I'm really scared!” they mocked before abruptly ending the call. What a dreadful and callous individual!

We've received numerous calls from this number concerning new boilers. We've just had one installed, and I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to put an end to these calls. Interestingly, there's no response when I hit the option for '3'. Quite frustrating, really!
