People keep saying npower but they got bought by Eon ages ago. The bills aren’t in my name, they’re under my partner’s. Can’t say who called, didn’t pick up, and no idea how they got my number in the first place!

08009809909 tried ringing npower about issues with my meter. They told me they'd ring back but instead I got an automated message after waiting 20 seconds saying "this is the wrong number." Proper annoying, had to put up with loads of rude language too.

Got a voicemail from Npower about rescheduling my SMARTmeter installation, but when I rang them back, all I got was a message saying that number isn't in service.

Pretty sure it was Npower calling this time.

YEAH, NPOWER. THEY REPLACED MY GAS METER BECAUSE THEY SAID A NEW BATTERY WASN'T IN STOCK - EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN EASILY BUY ONE ON EBAY. SO AFTER I TOPPED UP WITH £30, THE ENGINEER TOOK MY CARD, SAYING IT WOULDN'T WORK WITH THE NEW METER. IT'S BEEN NEARLY TWO MONTHS AND I'M STILL ON EMERGENCY GAS, AND THOSE BLOODY LOT HAVEN'T RETURNED MY £30 - WHICH SHOULD BE A SIMPLE TRANSFER FROM ONE CARD TO ANOTHER. IF YOU'RE DEALING WITH NPOWER GAS, JUST REMEMBER THEY'RE AS RIPPED OFF AS THE REST. ANYONE ELSE STUCK IN THIS "CAN'T REPLACE THE BATTERY" MESS?

Said they were from Npower but had no clue. Then claimed they called the wrong number and just hung up. Seems like a scam to me.

Keeps ringing me non stop even after ive said no! Total SPAM!

NPOWER keep harassing me with calls, computer keeps auto dialing non stop.

NPower have been bugging me for almost a year now with texts and phone calls. I’m not answering nor letting them install that blasted smart meter! They’re really pushy and rude about it.

They rang but I missed it and it went to voicemail. No message was left though. Big thanks to the folks who shared before, now I know exactly who it was and definitely won’t be returning the call!

Got a call from NPower doing telemarketing. Just a heads up, they cant make you get a smart meter fitted, so if they push it, just say no. If they claim its mandatory, dont believe them its not true. Honestly, just dont pick up from this number, block and mark it as spam.

This woman phoned asking for a bloke who doesn’t live here. She said she got the number from my website, which has my name on it. When I told her she’d dialled the wrong number, she was really abrupt and pushy. Wouldn’t say which company she was ringing from and just ended the call when she didn’t like how I replied. Proper rude!

Well, here we go again with nPower, bombarding me with a barrage of calls, messages, and emails, all suggesting I’ve got no choice but to opt for a smart meter. Let's not beat about the bush; we absolutely have the right to say no! 1) I've heard whispers that some installations could be potentially hazardous! 2) It seems like there's a possibility that these new meters might complicate the process of switching to a more affordable supplier. 3) There are reports of billing discrepancies arising from these new meters. 4) In certain areas, some meters are known to fall short due to unreliable signals. 5) The displays on a few of these gadgets are rather confusing. 6) There's the worry that I could end up paying more during peak usage periods. 7) The data gathered might lead to an influx of unsolicited mail, especially targeted ads. 8) I’m genuinely anxious about the prospect of hacking; it would be rather obvious if our home is empty while we're away on holiday. All in all, I can’t see how this would save me any cash - electricity prices aren’t going down, are they? It strikes me that this whole smart meter deal is just a way for energy companies to cut their own costs and rake in more profits at our expense.

I just got a call from 08009809909, not sure who it is. Anyone else had a ring from this number? Seems a bit suspicious to me.

Got an unexpected ring from someone saying, "Good afternoon, this is Chloe from NPower Smart Meter and the team, how can I assist you?" Seriously? I never even contacted them in the first place. There's no way I'm agreeing to have one of those intrusive smart meters fitted - it seems like it just lines the companies’ pockets, not ours. Their ads act like we’re all clueless and don’t see what’s really happening with these smart meters. Totally not having it.

Some bloke rang up looking for a person who don’t even live at this address! Signing up to TPS is pointless, I still get tons of daft and irritating calls all the time.

Gave em a ring today but they just hung up as soon as I answered.

I picked up the phone, but there was nothing said and then they just ended the call. My dealings with N Power have been awful!

These nPower fools are at it again, ringing me 6 times in just 2 days.

I’ve got a complaint filed with N Power at the moment, and I reckon they just cut me off when calling this number. Once they actually get around to speaking with me, I’m definitely putting in another complaint about them hanging up like that!

Npower, I’ve sent a summons cause they kept an overpayment wrongfully after I closed my account. Tried to talk it through, but I told em to respond properly to the summons. I don’t sort out sensitive stuff with people I don’t know.

NPower is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Ive been having problems with them for ages. They just cancelled my direct debit without telling me. Then they turned off my gas, which I heard is against the law! They also charged me way too much. Trying to speak to someone is impossible. Last time I rang, I waited over an hour and still got nowhere. Honestly, avoid this horrible lot at all costs.

These N-power folks just dont stop ringin! I never pick up numbers like this, but man, they are so damn persistent. I get calls from them 3 or 4 times daily, like every single day. Proper annoying, these lot.

N Power just will not stop ringing me nonstop. I hardly use the phone cause I’m deaf and made it clear to them that email is the only way to reach me. If they can’t even get that right, how on earth should I believe they can read my meter properly. Absolutely dreadful service.

npower calling me again, pretty annoying!

Received a call claiming to be from nPower, regarding my account details. They insisted on verifying my identity before divulging any information. Since there’s no issue whatsoever with my account, I decided not to engage with them any further. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Received a call claiming there was a problem with our npower account. They quickly cut off the line, so I dialled npower straight away. Lo and behold, it’s a total scam!

I've been bombarded with countless calls from the number 08009809909. We're starting to suspect it's some kind of energy company.

They keep ringing me, but when I pick up, there’s nothing but silence on the other end.

Received a call from an unknown number and it turned out to be one of those pesky cold callers. When I answered, there was complete silence on the other end. Just dead air!

I dialed the number, but alas, nobody picked up on the other end.

Npower Energy - They offer a callback option as there's no way to receive incoming calls on this line.
