UPDATE: 9th Oct, 23:57 Just got a voicemail sayin Sky won't refund the £50.90 that was scammed cos they reckon the fraud call came from my landline. Proper frustrating! I’m not happy about it one bit. I’m reachin out to BBC Watchdog as well, askin them to look into this. When we checked online, that number’s a known scam and it’s hit loads of people, all losing similar amounts and times, with different companies like BT and Virgin too. Got photos of the bills to prove it.

Early this morning about 6:25 am, my parents got onto the Sky Line app and chatted for more than 45 minutes with customer service, being passed through three different reps. After all that, they finally said they'd credit the account with £50.95 and threw in a free Sky Talk Shield as well. Guess we'll have to wait a month to check if the credit actually shows up.

Just got my O2 statement and noticed a call charge of £22 on 25/8/18. I was baffled 'cos I never call premium numbers. I use Duo Lingo to learn French and it's free, but you gotta watch ads. One ad was a quiz for a £300 Morrisons Voucher, it kept going on and on. I finally ended the call, but it's wrong how you're tricked into costs like this without any warning. I had a scare when my building society alerted me about a big phone bill. I noticed a call listed on my EE bill from the number with the code SC33, lasting 38 minutes and 6 seconds. It was made early on a Sunday morning, about 8:45am on 10/06/18, and there’s a charge of £40.50 for it. There’s only me and one other person living here, and neither of us can remember being on a call that long at that time. Seems fishy to me - could it be some kind of scam? Luckily, Three sorted it out by refunding the money and adjusting my settings so I can't be charged for premium numbers anymore. Got popped up a Morrisons ad about them celebrating 150 years, offering £350. Had to answer a couple of questions and give my phone number, then they told me to ring a certain number to verify and get a PIN to enter. I've been billed £51.71 for four calls to 09115628452 in November 2017 on my latest TalkTalk bill. I never dialled these numbers. This phone number seems suspicious. How can I get to the bottom of this? These were landline calls shown on my internet provider's phone bill. I’m not sure what else to check, but all four calls happened on the same day with the following costs: one call was £49.80, and the others were 82p, 68p, and 41p - all on 30th November 2017 - and then another one on 4th December for 82p.

I got charged £42.20 for just one call! They tricked me into thinking I was entering a quiz to win a £350 Nandoo’s voucher. It started with an email, then when I replied, they sent me this number along with a PIN to join the quiz. The quiz seemed to go on forever so I hung up, but now I realise it was all a scam.
