Beware, this is definitely dodgy! I got stung with an extra £18.50 on my phone bill because of some fake quiz claiming to be from Sainsbury's offering vouchers. It's awful how these tricksters exploit innocent people like us. There really needs to be something done to stop these dishonest calls. Truly shocking.

My mum ended up being billed £70 for what shows as a 45 minute phone call from her mobile to this number, but she never made that call. She wasn’t contacted by them either, so it’s a proper mystery how that happened. The mobile company said because the call lasted over 2 minutes, they assume it’s legit, so no refund is possible. It’s crazy there’s no way to catch these crooks and prove what really went on.

Just checked my phone bill and noticed I’ve gone over my direct debit limit. There’s a charge of £50.31 for a call to 09115628451, which I never made. I’m pretty sure they called me first, trying to sell some voucher offer or something. I had no clue I’d be charged for answering! It’s ridiculous that you can be hit with a cost just for picking up a call without agreeing to it. I’m planning to ring BT, but I’m not holding my breath for much help. I honestly would never have dialled this number on a Sunday afternoon, 27th August 2018. They ended up charging me an extra £22 in just 3 charges. I spent about 15 minutes complaining non-stop before finally getting my money back. Just got totally scammed by these lot.

I just received a £69 charge on my phone bill from a Marks and Spencer Quiz I called after seeing an online advert. Such a dodgy rip-off... Luckily, my provider refunded me £40 as a gesture of goodwill, and I've gone ahead and blocked premium rate numbers. I didn’t even know it was a premium number at the time. Gutted to say I’ll probably have to block international calls as well now. Honestly, feel totally conned and robbed here. Completely shocked.

Totally a scam, they want you to join some quiz supposedly to win £300 in Marks & Spencer vouchers. I stayed on the line awhile but got suspicious and ended the call. Later I noticed in tiny writing at the bottom it said 99p per minute charges apply. Now I've got nearly £30 added to my phone bill! Seriously, don’t get caught out by this dodgy trick.

What a rip off! My neighbour wanted me to ring this number from my landline, so I did without thinking. I assumed it was a call to family and ended up chatting for about 4 minutes. Now I’m worried about the bill, don’t even want to guess how much it might be. After this, my neighbour won’t be borrowing my phone again. 09115627386 I rang Virgin Mobile about this number because my phone bill suddenly shot up. They said it was a mistake on their end and confirmed it was one of their numbers. They promised to refund me. Later, when I looked at my bill again, I found they've now started investigating it since I never dialled that number, and my partner’s phone shows no trace of it either. I told Virgin if they don’t sort this, I’ll be charging interest on top of any fees owed, and they said they’re fine with that.

My partner took part in what looked like a quiz on Facebook, claiming to be from Morrisons. It turned out to be a clever ploy with questions made to trap her on a costly premium number. It wasn’t until around twenty minutes after the call dropped that she noticed £48 had been drained from her balance. I contacted Three, our network, who were understanding but could only advise blocking premium rate numbers directly on the phone. Honestly, the people behind these tricks are just scum.

I've had a really frustrating experience with the 0911 exchange. I got a bill showing calls to 09115628452 that I never actually made, and it came to £51.71! After searching online, I found loads of others complaining about being billed for calls they didn’t place to this same 0911 exchange. Most people say their phone companies don’t want to give refunds easily - and when they do, it’s usually just a one-time thing. My provider, TalkTalk, only gave me back half of the £51.71, which at least was something. But seriously, this exchange needs to get its act together.

My BT phone bill this month was much higher than what I normally pay. When I looked through the details, I noticed a call from 7th April at 9.02 pm that lasted about 45 minutes. It was to a 0977 number, 0977 562 8451, and the charge was over £50 - specifically £50.423. I contacted BT to dispute it as neither me nor my husband made that call. After a good 30-minute wait, BT finally agreed to take off the £50 on my next quarterly statement, but they warned it was a one-off thing. He said, "We’ve detected an issue with your computer that needs us to access it online." I told him, "My computer’s fine, and my son actually works in IT," and then he just hung up.
