Received a rather dodgy call from someone claiming to be from O2, pestering me to verify a security number—definitely sounds like a scam! The fella was extremely insistent about offering a discount, even when I repeatedly stated that I wasn't interested. Definitely best to steer clear of these types of calls!

I've received a couple of calls from someone who was masquerading as a representative from Carphone Warehouse, claiming they had an unbelievable deal on an iPhone 13 Pro for just £25 a month. It all sounded a bit dodgy, so I thought it wise to do a bit of digging beforehand. Obviously a scam, so steer clear and definitely don’t share any of your personal or banking information!

The gentleman I spoke to sounded Asian or Indian, and I can’t shake the feeling that it’s all a complete ruse.

They claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse and were trying to sell me a £35-a-month plan for a shiny new Samsung Ultra. The call had that typical corporate vibe about it, almost like a call centre. Things got a bit awkward when I mentioned I was already on that deal; the caller became quite flustered. Unsurprisingly, when I asked how they obtained my number, they dodged the question entirely.
