I received a call from someone claiming to represent Virgin Media, trying to entice me with a supposed discount on my monthly bill. It struck me as a bit odd that they needed to know what I currently pay. Shouldn't they have access to that information? I asked them to provide their name so I could reach out to Virgin directly, as this all felt rather fishy to me.

I've been inundated with dodgy phone calls, often receiving several a day from numbers that are eerily similar to this one, just a digit or two off. They seem hell-bent on fishing for personal information and are shockingly impolite whenever I do pick up the phone.

From what I've gathered from various reviews, it's evident that this number is definitely a scam. I’m relieved I didn’t answer when they rang, but they keep on trying to get in touch. Unfortunately, on one occasion, I did answer and it caused all sorts of trouble with my phone, which is practically brand new. Seriously, just avoid picking up!

I recently had a chat with Davis and Sam over at Carphone Warehouse regarding what they claimed to be a new funding offer. After digging a bit deeper, I reached out to Carphone Warehouse, now rebranded as Currys, and they confirmed that it was indeed a dodgy scheme.

Just yesterday, I nipped 0871 309 6248 in the bud, and the day before, it was one ending in 6247 that I had to block. It's beyond frustrating! It's high time that these crooks are tracked down and face the consequences of their actions. What on earth is the police doing about this?

I received yet another call claiming to be from "Virgin Media Mobile" promoting their phone and SIM deals. It's obviously a scam. They try to lure you in with the promise of receiving a phone and SIM for just a deposit. However, don’t be fooled; the device never shows up, and neither does your cash! This is the eighth time they've rang me, and I've repeatedly expressed my disinterest.

I received this number from my bank to put an end to a scam involving some supposedly free facial products, where you only had to cover the postage. However, they subsequently tacked on additional items and planned to dispatch a fresh batch every month! It's a real nightmare. Whatever you do, don't share your banking information!
