I picked up the phone but there was silence on the other end, so I hung up when the call abruptly dropped.

I received a call from 08713096243, and when I picked up, the caller promptly disconnected! I've seen others mention this number as being linked to potential scammers, so I've taken the precaution of blocking it now.

I’ve received a call from what seems to be Carphone Warehouse, if I'm not mistaken.

I received a call from a chappy with a thick Indian accent, who purported to be representing O2. He mentioned something about giving me a discount on my bill. The thing is, I've never had any bills from O2 at all! How bizarre!

Received a call today from someone with an Indian accent claiming to represent O2. The issue is, I don’t even have an account with them! Clearly a scammer trying their luck.

Claimed to be from Carphone Warehouse and inquired about a car accident that never actually happened.

Just received a rather unsolicited sales call, with the person on the other end hailing from Three, claiming they could shave some pounds off my mobile bill. I lost interest very quickly and ended the conversation.

I received a call claiming to be from Virgin Media, saying I was a valued customer and they were willing to give me a whopping 45% off. I played along and pretended I’d only recently signed up (not true, of course), and then he just cut the line. Classic!

I got a call purportedly from O2, saying they could reduce my bill by 30%. However, shortly after, I received a text stating that it definitely wasn't from O2 at all.

I spotted a missed call on my phone but didn’t pick up. The number’s unfamiliar, so I'm presuming it’s some dodgy business.

Typically, I find that simply mentioning that the authorities are en route tends to send them packing, especially with Virgin Media.

A bit concerning, to say the least—got word that someone I’m familiar with was involved in a road mishap. Certainly not someone I want to keep around! Blocked!

I decided to give that call a miss.

Received a call purporting to be from O2, saying they were offering a refund on my contract. It’s the second time I’ve had this type of call, though this particular number is a first for me. Definitely seems like a dodgy scam to me!

I keep receiving a relentless stream of unwanted phone calls.

Claimed to be from O2, but it was blatantly obvious they weren't, what with the street noise echoing in the background.

Today, I received a rather dubious phone call from a woman claiming to represent some sort of agency. She bombarded me with inquiries regarding an incident I supposedly had a part in, which, to be frank, was entirely fabricated. It's quite clear this is a notorious scam, and I can assure you, there’s been no accident or collision in my case whatsoever.

I just had a dodgy phone call from someone trying to sell me something. Definitely a con artist!

I answered the call, but they hung up straight away.

I had a bit of a shunt earlier; it was rather unexpected, to say the least.

I let the phone ring, missed the incoming call. Whenever I get these sorts of calls, I’ve taken to spinning a tale about having been involved in a dreadful accident and, tragically, not having survived it. Strangely enough, it tends to cut down on the number of these calls I receive.

Whenever I try to return the call, there’s never any response, or I’m met with a message indicating that the voicemail is full. It seems pretty obvious that this is some sort of business up to no good, gearing up for their next deceitful venture, likely looking to cash in on the current chaos. Truly, it’s a bunch of morally bankrupt, twisted individuals.

I couldn't be bothered to stick around for the phony name or made-up company – it's all a load of nonsense! Those call centres, using disposable mobile numbers, are nothing but a bunch of scammers, if you ask me.

Received a call purporting to be from "O2 London," promising me a whopping 45% discount on my bill. However, when I inquired about her specific location in London, she seemed completely stumped! Seems like yet another scammer from India, best to steer clear of this one.
