I was on the phone with Talk Talk for ages helping a neighbour get their phone fixed through this number. They did set up an engineer to come out, so I knew it was legit. Still, took ages to get things sorted. Didn’t realise the number was a premium rate one though. Just a heads up, watch out for that!

I got charged 90p on my phone bill for a call lasting 58 seconds to this number. I never actually made that call, so I’m really confused how it ended up on my bill.

Proper annoyed after trying to reach customer support because my phone wasn’t working. Google showed this number for TALK TALK but calling it ended up costing me more than £30 on my mobile. From now on, I’m only gonna search for landline numbers. It’s shocking how this company cashes in when your landline stops working.

I had a call from this number where a guy named Carlton Smith tried scamming my elderly mum. He said an engineer was coming and asked for her bank sort code to confirm her bank. Please be careful and dont pick up if this number rings you. 08704441820

Got a call from someone saying they were from Talk Talk’s Tech Support, claiming they had to update security on my computer. When I asked questions, they said if I refused, an engineer would visit to “secure” my router and I’d be cut off from the internet for my own safety. It was a total scam from 01467895247, but the caller insisted I could ring back on 08704441820 to verify who they were. Just be careful, lads.

Got a call from a James Martin bloke, sounded like he had a strong Indian accent, claiming there was something wrong with my internet router. My suspicions kicked in straight away. Watch out for this guy, he’s quite convincing and won’t give up easily. I’ve read the comments here and it’s pretty clear it’s a scam. Cheers for sharing your experiences. I’m thinking about reporting this to the police because someone’s bound to get caught out by it.

I never received a call from 08704441820 but this number was given to me by a scammer I spoke to on the phone. I haven’t dialled it back and definitely won’t. The scammer claimed to be from my broadband provider and said my IP address was compromised and my account would be shut down. When I asked if they were from "Sky", they quickly said yes (which is odd since Sky isn’t my provider). They wanted me to switch my computer on and carry out some steps. Honestly, these calls are so frustrating.

Got a call from 08704441820, a bloke saying he was from TalkTalk in London but had an Indian accent. At first, he said his name was Jason Parker, then moments later changed it to Ben Brown, saying Jason Parker was just a nickname! Weird. He said there was an attempt to hack my internet and they needed to sort it out. Gave me that phone number and said his manager was called Jack Dowson. When I asked for their address, they clearly just looked up TalkTalk’s London office. Sorry for the shouting, caps lock got stuck!

Got a call from someone called Jacobs claiming to be from Talk Talk. He told me my computer was hacked and I had to get it fixed quickly or my service would get cut off. The number he used was 08704441820. What a total con, they ought to be taken to court for this.

Someone called me claiming to be Jack from 'Talktalk tech team' using the number 0123144921. He asked me to look at the Events List on my computer. I instantly knew it was a scam, so I played along and kept the convo going to waste his time. Eventually, I told him straight up he was a con artist and that I was well aware of this scam method. He kept refusing and gave me 08704441820 as TalkTalk customer support. I looked it up and ended up on this site. Cheers for the info, really helpful!

Got a call from TalkTalk saying someone was trying to hack into my PC. They wanted me to log in so they could fix and secure my account. Told them I was busy and asked for a number to ring them back, coz I felt it could be a scam. Looked up the number here. Cheers for the earlier comments!

A lady claimed she was from Talk Talk’s tech team and even gave me my customer number. She said someone was messing with my IP address and told me to follow some steps quickly. I just ended the call and looked up Talk Talk’s real number online. They told me they don’t make tech support calls like that. Definitely a scam but sounded legit. Avoid calling this number!

I've just noticed a charge of £7.42 from this number on my bill. The thing is, we've never made any calls to it, and I'm utterly baffled as to why we're being charged. There's absolutely no way I'm coughing up for this; in fact, I’d rather switch providers than deal with this nonsense.

In the past 3 days, ive had 6 calls from this number, all marked as out of area. Today a bloke called himself Jack and claimed to be from TalkTalk's tech team. I told him I'd reported these calls 'cos i know TalkTalk dont ring like this, so it's obviously a scam. He gave me a number, 004487044418230, and claimed my computer was having issues with weird pop ups, saying it was due to some new email glitch on TalkTalk's side. I told him i dont have any problems and they are defo not from TalkTalk. I ended the call. Really annoying persistent scam, just ignore calls from numbers like this!

It seems someone is back to their dodgy ways. I got a letter that supposedly came from Talk Talk, packaged in their usual envelope and printed on their official letterhead, claiming they had mistakenly taken control of my phone line and broadband services. The letter instructed me to ring a certain number if I wanted to halt the transfer.

This number belongs to Talk Talk, as seen on my billing statement. Should you encounter any issues, you're advised to call them directly. However, it set me back £16.33 for a lengthy 34 minutes, which I find rather outrageous. I was merely seeking clarification regarding a letter I had received concerning impending price hikes. Hello, I just wanted to share a little warning. My partner received a call from the number 08700871820, and during that conversation, they somehow persuaded him in our absence that I wished to switch our broadband to their service. They claimed it would require a hefty one-off payment of £329.99, which is absolutely ridiculous! We reached out to AOL, and they confirmed there was absolutely no need for such a change. Just a heads up to be cautious if you get a call from this number!
