Fortunately, it landed in the inbox of a relative who shares my name but lives in a totally different location. We’re absolutely baffled by how careless their service has been, and we intend to escalate this issue with RBS at the earliest opportunity. Just a heads up, steer clear of any conversations with them!

I received a call earlier today, Saturday 29th March, claiming to be from a collection service for RBS. They rang our mobile and mentioned a Mrs someone, though I can’t quite recall the name. They then proceeded to ask for our postcode, which left us rather irritated. It's quite baffling, really, how a collection agency is reaching out regarding someone supposedly linked to our phone number. Makes you wonder what on earth is going on!

I must say, this ringing collection agency leaves much to be desired. It's utterly baffling how they continue to harass those who have passed away, trying to squeeze payments from them as if that's even remotely acceptable. What’s more astonishing is their persistence in chasing after grieving family members, even after being informed right at the outset of the conversation that the person they're after is no longer with us. It's not just unprofessional; it borders on the downright insensitive. One would expect a bit more decorum from such establishments!

Indeed, it appears this was indeed the RBS collections centre based out of Birmingham. We've got our reservations about it (I hold an account with them, though I'm not behind on payments), so we decided to give our local branch a bell. To cut a long story short, the staff there seemed a bit clueless about the number in question (classic case of left hand not knowing what the right hand's doing, it seems). They ended up transferring us, which resulted in *my* number being concealed. This did check out, although they might have made an error regardless. So at least we can say it's not a phishing attempt, in any case.

I received a call earlier today, the 29th of March, on a Saturday, from someone claiming to be with a collections service for RBS. They rang my mobile and mentioned the name of a Mrs, though I can’t recall exactly who they were referring to. What really irked me was their insistence on asking for our postcode. I find it quite frustrating that a collections agency would seek information related to our phone number without clear identification.
