I received a call from this number, and it turns out it’s based in Jamaica! The person on the other end claimed they were chasing up a debt linked to an overdue bank account. They were rather pushy about wanting my credit card details. When I probed for more information about the bank account, the caller became quite impolite and wouldn’t even reveal their name. Interestingly, they had quite a noticeable British accent as well! It’s definitely something to be wary of.

I've received calls from SANTANDER, ABBEY, and GE MONEY, or whichever name they fancy at the time. It's quite amusing really, as it's clearly them who are desperately chasing after overdue payments.
