We have absolutely no connection whatsoever with Santander, in any capacity. Lately, we've been getting calls from this number, which we promptly ignore. Not long after, we receive a notification on our phone indicating a missed call from a completely different number: 01133833077. Upon investigating, we discovered that it’s yet another dodgy number linked to a scam, leading to a blank service where no one is actually on the line when you pick up. It's rather exasperating, to say the least!

I've had the same trouble, to be honest. It seems like Santander and a good few other companies just won't take no for an answer when it comes to ringing me about the former owner of this number (a contract phone with Vodafone, if you're wondering). We've answered a call or two and tried to clarify what's going on, but it feels like they either don't believe what we're saying, couldn't care less, or are simply a bit slow on the uptake. I received two calls from different numbers just a minute apart - 08451262663 and 08451262673. I didn't pick up either time, and just to clarify, we don’t possess any credit cards whatsoever, so there are no payments due from us! The only card we have is a Santander Visa Electron debit card!

However, this is utterly unfounded since we settle our payments via Direct Debit. Upon reaching out to Santander directly, they clarified that their security team had made no such calls and advised us to disregard the attempted contact, as our account is perfectly up to date. Regrettably, we find ourselves a mere day behind on our payment - just one solitary day. We’ve been inundated with calls-quite a few times a day, no less! The trouble is, these calls aren't even meant for us. It seems the people behind these calls are demanding our name, number, and address just to stop bothering us. Our phone provider has advised us to keep a record of every single call and let them know that if this persists, we’ll be forced to alert the local authorities about the harassment.
