How generous of them to interrupt their presumably busy schedule to reach out to ordinary individuals like ourselves! It’s a shame, really, as we’ve already sorted out our energy grant and are rather weary of the myriad of scammers, such as these, trying to reel us in for our personal details or business. Quite tiresome, really!

I recently received a call from these individuals regarding grants for insulating homes. The moment we inquired about how they obtained our number, especially since we're listed on the Telephone Preference Service, the caller claimed they were affiliated with a government agency and had access to everyone's contact details. He then directed us to a supposed website, MES, which appears to be non-existent. To make matters worse, the name he used to address us raised our eyebrows even further. It seems rather plausible that these callers may have accessed business or professional organisation websites unlawfully.

The call centre sounded incredibly unprofessional; there was a lot of noise and banter in the background, and the caller was quite rude and overly aggressive. They introduced themselves as the "Chief Grant Advisor" for the council, but cheekily tried to extract personal information from me.
