Somebody called saying they were from UK Energy, but the number has no link to them. UK Energy’s own site warns about dodgy companies pretending to be them to push gas and electric deals, which is exactly what these lot were doing. I told them to take me off their call list, though I’m not holding my breath as they’ve rung before. I’ve reported them to the TPS and the ICO, and I’d recommend anyone else who gets these calls do the same. Also, if you can, get in touch with the BBC’s Rogue Traders team - they might be able to help track these scammers down. The caller claimed to be UK Energy but was definitely a fake pretending to be connected.

Today, 8th May 2015, I got a call from this number, going on about something to do with energy supply, sounded like pure rubbish to me.

I run a butcher shop and this number keeps calling me about 5 times every day trying to pitch some rubbish. I've asked them to quit calling, but they just keep ringing anyway.

On 24th April 2015, I got a frustrating call from some bloke named Martin about my energy contract. I asked him why they hadn’t bothered to look me up on the TPS first before ringing me, and he just started making excuses. I ended the call quickly enough. These sorts of calls are such a pain.
