Sounds like it could be Virgin Media. I’ve been sorting out a wrong final bill with them for ages. I’ve put in loads of complaints through resolver about their service and everything. It’s been dragging on for about 3 months now. They won’t pick up the phone, so I’m planning to block them once I’m sure they’ve got the payment sorted.

Somebody called saying they were from Virgin Media debt recovery (I don’t even use Virgin Media now). When I asked the reason for the call, they refused to say unless I gave them the 2nd, 4th and 7th letters of my password plus my full name, address, postcode, birthday and last 4 digits of my bank card. It sounded dodgy right away so I hung up and blocked the number. Would suggest others do the same if they get called by this.

Virgin Media has been relentless in their phone calls, insisting I owe them money, which is utterly false. My contract wrapped up at the end of April 2019, and I opted not to pay their ludicrous price hike to renew, so I formally cancelled my agreement. I reached out to their customer service on three separate occasions via email, sending my notices to the exact address they provided. I also filled out their online complaints form three times to clarify my decision and they confirmed they received each one. I settled my final bill using my credit card after terminating my direct debit with them. Subsequently, I switched to Vodafone, who took over and disconnected Virgin Media's line, setting me up with their own service as of June 4th, 2019. I absolutely do not owe Virgin Media a single penny, yet they persist in their phone calls, asserting that I do. Should they continue with this harassment, whether by phone or letter, I won't hesitate to seek legal recourse.

Admittedly, we do owe them some cash, but we're currently contesting the charges over the termination of our service. They decided to upgrade us, which inadvertently put us in a new contract. It's utterly frustrating!

This number keeps calling me but never leaves a message. I don’t have a clue who it is, and I noticed there wasn’t a zero before the eight. Quite puzzling!

I'm not entirely certain about the identity of this number, but they certainly don’t allow the phone to ring for a decent length of time, which can be rather frustrating. I might be tied up with chores, out running errands, or otherwise occupied. Honestly, it would be nice if they could give me a fair shot at answering-or at the very least, have the courtesy to ring me back! Attempting to return calls to 0845 numbers on my mobile is completely out of the question, particularly when I'm out of credit, as those charges can be quite steep and tend to gobble up what little I have! Unfortunately, I also don’t possess a landline to fall back on.

I've noticed that when Virgin Media calls for collections, they often play a recorded ring back. On occasion, it seems they fail to relay an actual message.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this company - they rang me at least twenty times last month! What on earth can I do to put a stop to these persistent business calls?

Ah, it appears to be Virgin Media’s call-back feature. Rather than enduring the typical thirty-minute wait, this seemed to connect us directly to an advisor. Perhaps this number isn't so bad after all. Quite amusing, isn't it? 😂

I keep getting these bothersome calls from the freephone number 0800 953 3333. It would be brilliant if they could introduce a way to block all these unknown callers. It's becoming quite tedious!

I’ve received a call from the collections department at Virgin. To put it plainly, I’m a bit behind on my payments, and they’re reaching out to see if I can settle part of my outstanding bill. It’s a bit of a bother, honestly. Cheers, Mark.
