Sounds like it could be Virgin Media. I’ve been sorting out a wrong final bill with them for ages. I’ve put in loads of complaints through resolver about their service and everything. It’s been dragging on for about 3 months now. They won’t pick up the phone, so I’m planning to block them once I’m sure they’ve got the payment sorted.

Got a call from this number, with someone saying they were from Virgin and asking me to give my password straight away. I just ended the call and rang Virgin Media using the number on their official site. They told me they wouldn’t contact customers like that and it was probably a scam.

If you deal with Virgin Media, ring THEM back on your usual number from your account - sometimes it might be legit. Somebody called saying they were from Virgin Media debt recovery (I don’t even use Virgin Media now). When I asked the reason for the call, they refused to say unless I gave them the 2nd, 4th and 7th letters of my password plus my full name, address, postcode, birthday and last 4 digits of my bank card. It sounded dodgy right away so I hung up and blocked the number. Would suggest others do the same if they get called by this.

Virgin Media have been ringing me non-stop demanding payment for a contract I don’t owe on. I ended my contract with them back in April 2019 because I wasn’t happy with the huge price hike on my package, so I cancelled by emailing customer service three separate times, using the exact address Virgin Media gave. I also sent those emails by post and filled in their online complaints form three times explaining why I was leaving; they even confirmed getting all my complaints. I paid my last bill by credit card online after cancelling my direct debit. I’ve since switched to Vodafone, who removed Virgin’s equipment from my phone line and set up their own, with my new service starting on the 4th June 2019. I don’t owe Virgin Media anything, yet they keep calling me demanding money. If this keeps up, whether by phone or letters, I’ll have no choice but to seek legal advice.

They kept ringing me about three times a day - they'd call, let it ring thrice and then just hang up. I picked up the first time and they asked for my password info. I declined and requested my last bill since I'd switched to BT. They told me to call their number to get it. I said no, you call me and send the bill over, and they said okay. I don’t get why folks are saying this number’s dodgy? They only want the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th letters of your password, hardly a scam lol. If they asked for your entire password, then yeah, just tell them to buzz off. If you don’t know or don’t wanna give those letters, they’ll just ask you a security question instead. I don’t pick up numbers I don’t recognise, so I’ve ignored these calls. Out of curiosity, I rang 08451112735 from my home phone and got an automated female voice saying it was Virgin Media. I don’t want to deal with them since I had a bad experience with their sales team. They promised me a £50 "refer a friend" bonus, but later denied ever making that offer and refused to pay me. Honestly, I’d tell anyone to think twice before choosing Virgin Media and look for other providers if they can.

After the contract ended, I got a couple of dodgy bills - one was nearly £150 when I’d been paying about £50 monthly. Sorting out the end of the contract was a nightmare, took almost an hour on the phone and trying to sort things out in the store with their staff. Eventually it was closed, but honestly, who knows if they’ll be calling again. After the contract wrapped up, I got loads of emails, like over five, so you’d think ending it takes ages - nearly three months! Plus they have about five different phone numbers I had saved that aren’t even on their website. Proper strange company.

I've noticed that when Virgin Media calls for collections, they often play a recorded ring back. On occasion, it seems they fail to relay an actual message.

I’ve been inundated with calls from this company - they rang me at least twenty times last month! What on earth can I do to put a stop to these persistent business calls?

Ah, it appears to be Virgin Media’s call-back feature. Rather than enduring the typical thirty-minute wait, this seemed to connect us directly to an advisor. Perhaps this number isn't so bad after all. Quite amusing, isn't it? 😂

I keep getting these bothersome calls from the freephone number 0800 953 3333. It would be brilliant if they could introduce a way to block all these unknown callers. It's becoming quite tedious!

I got a call from the Virgin collections team because i’ve fallen behind on some payments. They wanted to chat and persuade me to pay off a bit of what i owe. Bit stressful tbh. Cheers, Mark.
