They rang me up saying i'd get a £10 petrol voucher but then they took £59.99 from my bank without permission. Ive told my bank to block the payment and they are trying to sort a refund now. This company needs proper checking by fraud authorities, wouldnt touch them with a bargepole. They target disabled folks which is just awful.

My mum got tricked by this company - they sent her a letter saying they’d take £60 tomorrow to keep her free trial going. She had no clue about it, so she just called them up and said she didn’t want the membership. Only now has she worked out she got scammed because of the cost of calling that premium number.

Scam alert! Some firm named safely o2motor rang me up saying they wanted to send some info. I wasn’t paying full attention so just said alright. Couple days later I see £1.99 taken from my bank, even though I never gave the guy any of my details! Turns out they got my info from easy life. Watch out folks!

MR D AYRTON, no cheers. I’m not gonna ring you, you give me a buzz if anything.

Like I mentioned before, this info comes from Easylife, which is probably why these idiots keep bothering my elderly mum on her home phone and mobile. I've already emailed Easylife, and I'm waiting for them to explain how they've messed up data protection, leaving their vulnerable customers exposed to scams. Obviously, my mum was on their records.

Same story here. My dad bought something from Easylife, and it seems like they've shared his payment info somehow. He never got a call or said yes to any payments, yet money got taken from his account. We've blocked the card and will be reporting this to trading standards. Feels like they're exploiting older people who might not know better.

I phoned to cancel and also had to get a new bank card, reported it to the fraud team and trading standards. Turns out they get your bank info from a free booklet in the paper called EASYLIFE, which sells your details to this scam firm. I was promised someone would call me back within 24 hours but nothing ever came. I spent all of Tuesday trying to call both companies and no one picked up from either. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS, IT’S A TOTAL SCAM!

This is a proper rip off, they took £1.99 from my bank without me even giving them my details! How’s that even possible? I never shared my bank info, I only ordered some free stuff from a catalogue that came with the papers. BE CAREFUL, TOTAL SCAM!

Easy Life / Safe2Motor are total scammers - Trading Standards really need to step in and close them down. Looks like they’ve been ripping people off for more than a year now. Absolutely disgraceful.

Safe2Motor charged me without asking first. I never agreed to any petrol voucher or whatever but they took money anyway. If they ring you, just hang up and contact your bank fraud team straight away. Same goes if you get letters from them.

Hi, I got a call from these lot about some petrol voucher thing. Not sure if I actually got one or chucked it away, but they've taken £1.99 from my account. I'm a pensioner and I've never given them my bank info, not once. I've got until Wednesday to cancel it, so I’m planning to visit my bank first thing tomorrow to sort this out. If this is some sort of scam, everyone should watch out.

Hi there, I got a call from these folks about some petrol voucher. I’m not sure if I ever got one or maybe chucked it away, but somehow £1.99 has been taken from my bank. I’m retired and never gave them my bank info, not once. They said I have until Wednesday to cancel, but I’m going to my bank first thing tomorrow to sort this out. If this is a scam, just be careful, folks!

My 91 year old mum got a call from these lot, they said they got her credit card info from Easylife, some mail order firm.

Safe2motor gave me a ring. They sent everything over but, already took £1.99 from my account. Then my bank’s fraud dept called me cos the payment set off an alert. I’ve emailed to cancel and got a reply saying it’s been cancelled. The bank told me to keep an eye on my account and contact them if anything weird pops up.

So these safe2motor folks actually took money from my account BEFORE they even sent me any annoying messages! I've reported them cause they just won't accept NO. Plus, I've never shared my bank info with them, so they're basically stealing from me. I'm absolutely livid!

On May 18th, I got a call from someone who was talking really quick and not very clearly. I told them I wasn’t interested and said no thank you. The next day, I called back the number they gave me, 08445679397, and a lady answered. She said everything would be cancelled since I had already refused their sales pitch. But now, today, I’ve got a £10 petrol voucher through the post. I’ve sent them a firm letter back along with the voucher. What should I do next? I have a feeling the number 08445679395 might be connected to the same people.

These lot called me today, my husband picked up but they just wouldnt listen when we said no. We ended the call but they rang right back again. We said no again and then he said I was shouting at him or something. We just hung up again. Honestly the only "violent" thing said was a polite no thank you.

I've had a couple of calls from 01284 771490 (looks like a Bury St Edmunds one), last time was on 13/2/2017. Every time I asked them to take me off their list but they just kept calling. I've gone ahead and blocked the number on my phone now.

i got a call from safe2motor on 01284 771490 offering a £10 fuel voucher, but they wanted me to pay £1.99 for postage for a pack about getting 30% off car repairs and MOTs. it felt fishy, especially when the guy hesitated to tell me the website, saying all info would be in the pack. after reading other comments here, i’ve decided not to give them any money.

Complete scam! They’ve billed me £78.22 for two consecutive months despite assuring me that they’d cancel and refund the initial charge. Absolutely do not trust this caller!

Total scam. I foolishly signed up for a trial, forgot to cancel on time and ended up being charged £78.22 for a membership. I never got any discount card through the post and they've also charged me £1 six separate times for no reason. I've reported this to my credit card provider who are now looking into it.

£26.94 got taken out my account by these lot and i never signed up for anything with them. they’re only willing to give back £6.95, which is a joke. i’ve contacted my bank’s fraud dept and they’ve blocked any more payments. total rip off!

It’s not just this number. 0844 5679397, 0844 5679395, 0844 567 9394 as well. I cancelled an old subscription on time and got a refund, but 3 months later the payment came again, plus some £1.00 charges from safe2motor and various leisure things. My bank has now blocked any future attempts to charge me after I spoke with them. Seems like a dodgy scam designed to keep taking money and probably sharing your info. Just hang up and be careful.
