Got a call from easylife offering my mum a £10 voucher for a car service, but she doesn’t even own a car! Sounds like a total SCAM to me. They also said they’d take £59.99 from her bank, which is just dodgy. Tried calling 0345 1740500 but no answer. We’re gonna cancel her card asap. These people are definitely FRAUDSTERS, really sketchy business 23/8/18.

Easy Life Motor Club cancelled my membership straight away when I sent the paperwork, but they still took £1.99 from my card. I called to complain and was told I’d get a refund, but nothing has come through yet. I’ve reported it to my credit card provider and now I’m a bit worried they might try to take more money. I’m planning to contact the fraud team soon to look into it properly.

That bit below is what I wrote and it’s exactly what the company makes their sales people say, since it’s the only info they’re allowed to share. But they all rush through the £59.99 bit or go silent or make a noise so you don’t catch it!! I used to work there, but they fired me ages ago. Honestly, it’s about time people knew the truth! They have to say that script word for word or they risk getting the sack. They need to get the tone and speed just right, but not every call is monitored, only some.

The folks running the motor club aren’t from Easy Life, it’s a tiny firm based in Cardiff called Lth. They have to stick to a script to cover all the important details. Pay close attention if it sounds too good to be real. They repeat a short bit explaining if you don’t cancel within 14 days, £59.99 will be taken from the last card linked to your EasyLife account.

If you reckon you’ve been screwed over by Easy Life, I’d head straight to the bank and get new cards asap. They’ve got your info and you could end up losing way more than you expect, like with that motor club charging £59.99 ‘cause they pass your bank details to someone else. Keep an eye on your bank account all the time. Easy Life must be aware cause I got scammed too, and when I rang them, they admitted they knew what was going on. Number to check: 08445679394.

Watch out, Easylife is not just a scam with their motor club at £59.99, they’re also linked to something called Dining and Leisure Club for £78.22 which seems dodgy too. Loads of customers who bought stuff from Easylife have been caught out. Just how many crooks are in this lot? Make sure you keep an eye on your bank account if you’ve ever dealt with Easylife before.

I got charged £1.99 then another £59.99 by easylife motorclub and had no idea what for. I bought something from easylife like a year and a half ago but at another address. Watch out, seems like easylife might be sharing your bank info with others. Definitely check your bank statements!

When you search on google, the Easylife site shows “esaylifemotorclub” with a line through it, which makes me think it’s a dodgy outfit pretending to be part of another firm. The real company should really be taking action to sort this out because it’s probably hurting their reputation. But have they even done anything? I’d say steer well clear of that site and only get in touch with Easylife themselves if you get contacted by the “motorclub”. Maybe it’s about time the media got wind of this?

After purchasing from Easylife, I got bombarded with emails and calls. I’m cancelling my subscription way before the grace period ends. Their T&Cs for the petrol voucher are super tricky and seem designed to trip you up so they don’t have to pay out. If anything else goes wrong, I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

I had the same thing happen, the number was 0844 318 8586. It was some credit card company and they refused to refund me £1.99. I also bought something from Easylife, very frustrating!

I also bought something from easylife, then got a call saying I could get a £10 petrol voucher for just £1.99. I kept telling them no, but they wouldn’t listen. They sent me the voucher anyway, which I ended up binning. After that, they sent a letter saying £59.99 would be taken from my account on the day I got the letter. Luckily, I blocked the payment but saw later they still took the £1.99. Seriously, avoid these scammers at all costs.

Easylife emailed me saying thanks for being a customer and offered me 5% off my next purchase. The nerve, after they scammed me £1.99 and then £59.99 for some motor club I never signed up for. I can’t even drive and don’t own a car! When I called them, they just ignored what I was saying. What really worries me is how the motor club got hold of my bank details and easylife didn’t seem to have a clue either, which is really unsettling. I’ve had to get a new bank card because of this. Only people who have bought stuff from easylife should watch out!

A few weeks back, I got a call from easylifemotorclub. I ALWAYS refuse to agree to stuff on the phone! They promised to send info by email, then suddenly £1.99 was taken from my bank. Be careful with these lot - if they ring you, I’d seriously suggest changing your card! It’s apparently linked to some old purchase from their Easy Life catalogue from ages ago. Honestly, avoid them at all costs! They shouldn’t be sharing your card details with anyone. The number is 0844567394.

Cheers for this site!! Ive had the same issue, I told the person on the phone that I dont drive and wasnt interested, but Ive bought from easy life before and they still sent me stuff and took £1.99. By the time I got the letter, 7 days of the supposed 14 day "contract" had already gone, luckily Im not daft or forgetful. I sorted it with my bank straight away and stopped any direct debits.

My 89 year old dad bought a hose from Easylife and paid with his credit card. Now he's got a letter from Easylife Motor Club saying they’re gonna take £59.99 out of his bank, even though he doesn’t drive. They already took £1.99 without permission. I’ve cancelled it but he would never have agreed to this. We won’t be buying from Easylife anymore, that’s for sure.

They've charged £1.99 from our account without our permission and we never gave them our card info. Looks like they got it from a place called Easy Life where we purchased a couple of things a while back. The "services" they claim to offer are complete nonsense.

My partner just noticed a £1.99 withdrawal from our bank after supposedly signing up for a free trial with a firm called 'Safe2Motor'. He never gave them any bank info. After checking the small print on the letter, we figured out what’s going on. We had ordered some stuff from Easy Life, and it seems like they’re using the same payment details we used for that order. This was from a catalogue insert in a TV magazine. We’ve contacted our bank to stop any further charges. Hopefully this info helps others. The phone number was 08445679394.

A few days back, someone from SafeToMotor rang me up saying they’d send a £10 fuel voucher but asked for my bank details to take £2 for postage. The voucher never showed up and when I checked my account, I found a direct debit for 'RSM200' had been set up. I had to contact my bank, RSM2000’s customer service and SafeToMotor just to get the direct debit cancelled and my name removed from their subscription. Honestly, this is a terrible way to hook customers! Just a heads up - don’t fall for the “free” £10 voucher offer!

Im usually pretty wary of stuff like this, but I foolishly said yes when they told me i could cancel within two weeks after getting the parcel and card - just a small £2.50 for postage and packing. Thing is, Ive never gotten anything. I even looked it up on the website while chatting to them and it seemed legit. Gonna ring my bank and stop any payments. This lot really needs to be called out as a SCAM.

Got a call from a lady named Heather, speaking with a thick Welsh accent, trying to talk me into signing up for a Club card and setting up a direct debit, mentioning there’s a 14 day cooling off period. After I gave her some details, I decided to look them up online and found this site - what a relief! I’ve now contacted my bank, stopped the direct debit request, and flagged it with their fraud department.

Dining and Leisure Club is a total ripoff! Like the others have said, I got charged £78.22 even though I cancelled my membership ages ago. My mum got tricked by these scammers and I honestly find it so awful how they target elderly folks who just trust too easily in this nasty world. The things they’re willing to do is shocking. I really hope they catch them and they get a long time behind bars for what they did.

If you get a call from this number or anyone saying they’re from the Dining and Leisure Club, make sure you ring your bank straight away and ask them to block any transactions from them as they might have your bank info. If any funds are taken from your account, the bank has to refund you. Don’t bother trying to call DSL back because they won’t give your money back and you’ll just get charged for ringing a premium rate number. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM.

About a year ago I got a call and somehow ended up with a "gourmet card" they never mentioned it properly on the phone. I wouldn’t have accepted it otherwise, especially since it was supposed to be a free Lloyds Bank gourmet card. I reached out to Barclaycard and they sorted me out with a refund of £78. Then just this July, I saw £1 taken out from my Barclaycard by PSL Dining and Leisure without me knowing. I told Barclaycard and thankfully they gave it back too. If anyone’s paid by credit card, I’d seriously suggest getting in touch with the company and ask for their fraud team.

I received several calls from this number, but they always hung up before I could answer. Upon reviewing my online shopping account, I found that three unauthorised transactions had been made without my consent. My bank was the one who provided me with this number. They identify themselves as Psl Dining+Leisure. The only connection I can see is a previously dodgy company that swindled me out of £100 last year. If you happen to hear from a Welsh company trying to rope you into their scheme, my firm advice is to firmly decline and hang up immediately.

I had the exact same thing happen to me! They told me I’d get a £10 fuel voucher and postage was £2.70. Then they said if I wanted the vouchers all year, it would be £69.90. I said no, but later I noticed they had taken the money anyway. I rang them last Monday to cancel and ask for a refund, but haven’t had anything back yet. If they don’t sort it, I’m heading to the bank tomorrow!

They rang me up offering a £10 fuel voucher, I wasn’t really interested but ended up agreeing. After that, they took £78.22 from my account plus three separate £1 charges. When I rang to complain, they claimed I had signed up because I didn’t cancel after getting the voucher, which I didn’t know I had to do. I cancelled straight away and called again to make sure it was done. Just looked at my bank and they’ve taken six more £1 payments and another £78.22! Tried phoning them but they’re closed. What should I do now?

This firm rang me up about fuel vouchers and asked for my address to send them out. When the vouchers showed up, the paperwork said I had to send something back to get the real vouchers with it. There was also a letter about a discount card costing £78.22, which I’d also have to apply for. I didn’t follow up on it but later looked at my credit card bill and saw they’d taken £1.78, £1, and the £78.22. I called customer service and the person I spoke to was so rude I ended up hanging up on them. After that, they still managed to take another £1 from my account!

Back on january 25th 2016, i noticed £78.22 had been taken from my account after a £2 sign-up charge. I called to cancel, and they promised to refund me that same day. Fast forward to august 8th, and i'm still waiting for my money. I sent a formal complaint to their Cardiff office but didn't hear a thing back. Now ive just written again, letting them know ive involved a solicitor and will take legal action if my cash isn't back by the end of this week! Might even show up at their place with the police if it comes to that!!!

Dining & Leisure Club has been taking loads of £1 payments from my bank even though I cancelled over a year ago. PSL Dining & Leisure Club has been withdrawing £1.00 from my credit card a few times without asking me. I only realised it when I looked at my bank statement. I’m planning to visit my bank tomorrow to see if they can stop any more payments. Why don’t the police do something about this kind of SCAM? It’s really worrying. Yeh ive had a similar thing happen. Got caught up in this scam with a petrol refund and dining voucher. They charged me 3 times £1 plus £78 back in May. I got in touch with PSL Dining and Leisure at the end of June and asked them to stop taking any more money. But checked my bank today and saw another £78 taken on 12/7/16 and 3 more £1 charges over past few days. Spoke with Halifax bank dispute team and they’ve been really good, sorting it out and gonna contact the company to try and get my money back. Also writing to the right authorities just to be safe.

Every day they are taking a quid from my account. I’ve cancelled through the bank and blocked my card but somehow they’re still managing to take the money. I have no idea how to stop them getting into my bank. The bank keeps refunding what’s been taken, but honestly, who do they think they are?

[#][#]volclub[###]/ seems to be behind this scam. They began charging me £1 from April onwards and can take it whenever they like. I've sent them 3 emails already but no response. Got a call from Psl dining and leisure club, done a survey on the phone and was told I needed to pay postage to get a free petrol voucher. Foolishly gave them my card details. They took £1 first, then a whopping £78.22 which I definitely didn’t authorise or expect. It was like cash being drafted out and I never agreed to that?? Contacted the phone company and all they said was I didn’t opt out so no chance of a refund for the £78.22. What a load of scammers. Spoke with my bank and they’ve put a block on that company now.

Got a call from 08445679394 sayin I won a 500 quid gift card for petrol or diesel but then they asked for my bank info coz of a 2.95 postage fee, I said no way and hung up.

I noticed £1 missing from my bank and managed to call them, got my cash back and they removed my info from their system. I didn’t even know who they were at first since they constantly change their name. I only recognised them as Life Choices, not PSL dining and Leisure Club. The woman I spoke to was really helpful and admitted it was on them, she saw I’d cancelled last year during the cooling off time. I’ll definitely be watching my account closely from now on. They only ring my mobile, so I’ve put the Truecaller app on to block their number automatically.

PSL Dining and Leisure Club charged £1.00 on my credit card without asking me. I figured it was a test to see if I would catch it, maybe so they could take more later. I keep a close eye on my online account, so I called M&S Bank right away. They gave me my £1.00 back, blocked the company, and are looking into it as a possible fraud case. I believe this kind of thing happened a few years ago too.

I have no clue what this company is, and I've never dealt with any Dining and Leisure club before. Yet somehow they've managed to take £1 from my bank?! That seems really dodgy!!

Got no clue who these people are. They’ve taken a £1 from my account. How is this even legal? Going to the bank first thing tomorrow to get it sorted. Really annoyed with them.

I keep seeing this company and number linked to my bank, taking £1 out of my account. I've never come across them before.

I just noticed a charge of £1 taken from my account by this company. I've never come across their name before and definitely haven't contacted my bank about this. Really confused!

They took £78 from my bank acct, no nappies showed up for my child, this was back in Feb 2016. I've rung them more than 15 times, they keep making up excuses. Its now July and I still haven't got my money back.

I received a call from them earlier today.

They weren’t straightforward about what they wanted, kept pushing my wife to ‘register’. The scary part was they already had all her info, even her card number, and just needed the security code from the back. Luckily, she refused to give it. Still, they tried to charge £78.22 on our card, but RBS blocked it as suspicious activity. Now we’ve had to get new credit cards. Stay well clear of PSL Variety of Leisure, honestly!!

I’ve been through the same thing as the others, ive even started thinking about taking legal action against the company since they never sent me the coupons or the half price hotel discount card they promised. I’ll keep you updated on what happens next.

They charged me without asking even two months after I cancelled and I still haven’t received the fuel voucher.

Pretty much the same deal as others mentioned. I’ve now started a dispute with my bank, so the company has to prove to Visa that those charges from my account are legit.

I ordered a package back on 13th May and still haven’t got it. Today, on the 26th, £78.22 was taken from my debit card, even though I’m still inside the 14-day cooling off period. I phoned them to sort it out and request a refund, but they flat out refused, saying it’s against their policy. Now my bank is getting involved to investigate. Altogether, they’ve taken £82.00 - that’s one payment of £1.78, two payments of £1.00, and then the big one of £78.22. My bank has also stopped PSL from withdrawing any more money from my account.

I’ve been trying to reach this firm too, but their phone number seems impossible to get through on.

Got a call about getting 30% off on car servicing at any workshop. Sounds great till they start asking for your bank info... bit sus if you ask me.

This isn't just about that one number. I cancelled my subscription in the agreed timeframe and got my refund no problem. But out of the blue, three months later, they charged me again, plus I noticed extra payments of £1.00 for something called SAFE2MOTOR. After chatting with my bank, they've stopped any further charges from these guys, but honestly, it feels like a dodgy setup designed to take your cash and maybe even share your info. My advice? Just hang up. Stay alert!

These individuals are nothing but fraudsters and must face the law!

They charged me way earlier than they were supposed to, and it took nearly a month and a half to get my money back because, supposedly, they put the wrong info on the refund form... Funny how they had no trouble taking my cash early though! In the end, a lovely lady from their call centre helped me sort it all, but honestly, the rest of the staff seemed clueless. Trying to talk to someone in charge was impossible, which felt strange. Next step is to see if I can reclaim the extra from my phone provider!

I got a call from Dining and Leisure Club and thought it was legit, but be careful - don’t hand over your bank info! Even tho they talk about a 14-day cooling off, it’s a joke to them. They charged me £78.22 just three days after, and even after a month I’m still struggling, only hope I get my cash back with Trading Standards stepping in. Don’t expect your bank to do anything for you, they won’t lift a finger. Honestly, it’s not worth the stress, just politely decline and hang up ASAP. - Fred
