Got a call from someone in India asking for my personal info, which I didn’t give of course, told them straight it seemed like a scam. They rang me a couple of times but I just hung up. I got a message on my voicemail that was full of bad grammar and sounded dodgy. It said something like "We have serious charges against you and your National Insurance number. This is urgent. Call ##### now or face terrible legal trouble. This is your last warning from Mike Wilson at HM Revenue and Customs." Honestly, it felt really threatening and borderline criminal. I worry this kind of scam could easily scare older or vulnerable folks. I've reported it to the TPS, but I’m not sure they’ll actually do anything about it. What a nasty way to try and cause panic.

Just got a voicemail from this number saying they were an HMRC officer. Sounds like one of those scam calls, so I wouldn’t bother picking up.

Got a voicemail from these lot claiming to be HMRC, saying it’s urgent or whatever. Total scam, don’t bother picking up. Just blocked the number and wiped the message.

Got a ring from someone claiming to be HMRC. They were all threats, saying I'd be in big trouble if I didn't pick up. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

Sounds like a total con to me. They said it was some officer Hazel (can't remember the last name) claiming to be from HMRC, but the message was so vague and just finished with "Take care". Definitely dodgy.
