I got a call from 08443511004 claiming I was about to be arrested for tax evasion. They even gave me a reference number and said I’d need a criminal lawyer, just like some others have said. I reported it to the relevant authorities who know about these scam calls. After that, they rang me two more times, but I just ignored and blocked the number. Then, they attempted to reach me again from a different number.

Got a call from 08443511004 claiming I was about to get arrested for tax evasion, they even gave me some sort of reference number and said I'd need a criminal lawyer. Luckily I’d heard of these scams before and reported it to the proper authorities who warned me about this exact thing. After that, they called me two more times but I just ignored and blocked the number. Then they tried again using a different number but I wasn’t falling for it.

Got a robocall from 0844 351 1004 claiming to be HMRC saying I’m being chased for tax evasion. They told me to call them back immediately to sort it out. Didn’t fall for it though, I hung up straight away, blocked the number, and then rang the real HMRC on 0300 200 3300 (number from their official site). Turns out it was a scam and HMRC have now passed it on to their cyber fraud team to look into it.

Beware of a scammer calling themselves ‘Harry Wilson’ claiming to be with HMRE, speaking with an African accent. They’re threatening me about supposed tax evasion. I tried reaching HMRC to report this, but their phone lines are always busy now - looks like they know about these frauds. My advice is just to block the number, or even better, keep them on the line to clog up their system. If enough of us do this, it might help protect others from the worry and hassle these con artists cause. If you can, make sure to report it to HMRC, either by phone or email.

Got a recorded message from 0844 351 1004 claiming the tax office was after me for tax evasion. They told me to call back to sort it out. I just hung up and blocked the number since I’m employed by a big company and know this was a scam.

Got a call from some automated voice claiming to be from HMRC, total scam alert. Definitely don’t trust it!

It’s clearly a scam, they claim its a tax miscalculation and pressure you to move money. Definitely watch out for this HMRC trick.
