When you call them back to tell them to stop, they swear at you and hang up. It’s like they want you to call their expensive premium line. No respectable company would work with these lot. It's quite bothersome to receive 2 or 3 phone calls every day. Though I need to be polite in expressing my frustration, as my wife insists I avoid using foul language. So, this number called and I hit 2 straight away. The lady had a proper Glasgow accent, which caught my ear since I’m Scottish too. She asked me how old my boiler was, and I told her it’s just 2 years old. She snapped back, all annoyed like, ‘2 YEARS?’ then just hung up. I hit 2 during this "must be done by 2017" robo message. Some bloke named John from the Energy Funding Centre answered up. I asked where he was calling from since he had a Scottish accent. He wouldn't tell me anything about the message’s purpose, even though he did ask how old my boiler was. Then he called me a cheeky old lady - felt like a bit of ageism, probably some government nonsense! He also reckoned I was trying to trick him to get info for TPS, even though I told him his company had rung me first and I was just being polite. Plus, he never promised to take me off their call list.

I receive calls on my number in situations of serious emergencies, but I can't seem to make them stop! It's really frustrating. Ive tried hanging up, pressing "9" like they say to get taken off their list, and this morning I actually spoke to someone and told them to remove me and not to call again. I even told them I’m renting (which im not) - hoping that might stop the calls. They have been ringing about 4 or 5 times a week, twice already this morning.

I’m on the TPS but still get calls from these lot several times a week. I’ve reported them loads of times to the ICO but they never seem to do owt about it. Any firm that ignores the TPS rules is breaking the law and shouldn’t be trusted or spoken to.

I avoid answering calls from numbers that start with 08, opting to wait and see if a voicemail is left. Unfortunately, in this instance, no message was received. As a result, I will now add this number to my blocked list.

I’m stuck with these useless TIPS calls, total waste of my time. Got a call today, took a bit to pick up and the woman, if you can even call her that, said she’d keep ringing me and then just hung up. Not on my watch, mate, I’ve blocked her number already.

I picked up their call on 27th May 2016 to ask once more for them to stop ringing our landline. When I told the person on the other end that we’d just had a new boiler fitted, they ended the call straight away with no promise that they wouldn’t bother us again.

Honestly, I have no clue why they keep ringing me almost every day when I never pick up. This has been happening for ages now. I'm pretty sure it’s just another scam, and whenever I spot an 0844 number on my phone, I just block it out. I reckon I'll take other folks’ advice and report it to the ICO soon. Still, it’s really annoying getting these calls all the time.

Non stop ringin from "The national database" with a recorded message. This has got to be dealt with properly, like fast. Seriously, governments, get a grip and fix this! Pretty convinced it’s the same lot from Glasgow who keep turning up in person trying to push their "official government boilers/insulation" nonsense.

They ring me about three or four times daily, no joke. It’s starting to get really annoying and messing with my peace at home. Proper invasive and just making things miserable now.

Got calls non-stop about some boiler scheme. I’ve put myself on the TPS list and even reported them to the ICO, but it seems like it makes no difference. Honestly, TPS doesn’t seem to do much at all.
