I noticed a charge of £167.03 on my phone bill from this number on Sunday. Supposedly, I was on the phone with them for over 5 hours, which is absurd. There’s no chance I called them or spent that much time on a call. Normally, my calls only last a couple of minutes tops. I’m currently trying to sort it out with my phone provider. This number definitely needs blocking. Dodgy business for sure.

This morning, precisely at 09:02 on the 2nd of February, 2016, I got a call which I decided to pick up. However, when I attempted to return the call later, I was met with a message stating that the number could not be recognised. It’s quite apparent to me that this was a scam call.

This number called me and left a voicemail saying just "watch out". I’m not joking. I looked up other sites and they say it’s a scam linked to life insurance. I don’t even have any life insurance. I’ve reported them to the ICO - the Information Commissioner’s Office, they handle and punish these scam callers. The report was easy to do and if more folks do it, maybe these scammers will get hit with a proper hefty fine. You can do it yourself at ico.org.uk.
