I rang this number believing it was my nearby post office and ended up being charged 65p on four separate occasions. I found the number through a Google search for Rugeley post office. Every other post office around here uses a normal landline number. Just a heads up!

Plus, they took 55p off me just for sitting through that endless recorded message trying to pick an option. The worst part? None of the options were actually right for what I needed. Called this number to report some lost post. Turned out it wasn’t even the correct contact, and a recorded voice said the line was out of service. Then I looked at my itemised bill and noticed I was billed for three separate calls! None of those calls actually went through, and now I’m stuck with a £24.79 charge plus. Had to wait like 10 minutes each time over 4 calls to get through. They left a Royal Mail card telling me to call this number, no warning that I’d be charged. Still none the wiser about the international present I was supposed to get. Not the first time this has happened either. Absolute scam! I phoned Customs (free call) and they said there was nothing wrong with the gift, but now apparently it’s being sent back to the sender. Royal Mail took it for no good reason and now want me to pay for calls to get it, so it’s being sent back (hopefully soon)!

Like others have said, watch out for the costs!! Tried to call my local Royal Mail branch and it just rang out with no message explaining they don’t pick up. Then I tried this number - honestly, just long waits and then crazy expensive call fees. Definitely needs a proper heads-up.
